I am not joking when I tell you I thought he was nuts cause I always have ear buds in, he doesn’t know Allan…. Life is full of challenges and hardships, but without the rough parts of the river, it would be hard to appreciate the smooth currents. AW may have had an easier life than some, but through his travels and exposure to so many different variations of culture, combined with his mastery of communication, his words can be comprehensible regardless of where you come from and where you are now. Great talk! Thanks for posting it! Do you think Alan Watts experienced awakening or studied it to the point that he could explain it? The later seems true, as his recount mirrors Sadhguru's one. Alan's insights are remarkable for the 70s (he died before I was born). Interesting this lecture was only posted 1 month ago...

So easy to say when you have had everything going for you your whole life. If this were coming from someone who actually faced any hardship, it'd be different. Full of shit

@@iiLivingMeme I think I may relate to an extent. Just beginning to build my own self worth, despite having listened to AW and many of the other 20th century gurus and discovering my own yogic practices... Find lessons applicable to your situation, discover what makes you passionate, and tackle life head on.
