THIS MOVIE IS THE DARKEST MARVEL'S BEEN and its a classic *Edit* : After seeing _Endgame_ I gotta say _Endgame_ went a bit darker... In I.W. the characters were like grasping for survival In _Endgame_ everything was already lost... and most characters were deeply affected They were fighting depression actually And ofcourse i dont have to mention the gritty imagery from certain scenes

"I'm sorry, little one." I can't fucking believe how good Thanos was in this movie. He is a cut above every Marvel villain by far, including Loki and Killmonger. Josh Brolin deserves incredible amounts of praise for his portrayal of a character with such nuance that he almost felt like an antihero instead of an actual antagonist. That is the whole reason the movie worked as well as it did. Fantastic work.

A wave of sadness rushed through me when at 0:44 that music started playing, because that's when my childhood rolemodel, Natasha Romanoff kicked off and sacrificed herself so that family's and friends could reunite, she sacrificed herself so her best friend could be happy, so that Tony could see Peter again, so Steve could see Bucky again and Rocket could see Groot again. So Scott could see the love of his life, hope again and that Sam and Steve could banter back and fourth once again. Natasha is more significant that anyone could ever think. She has been willing to die in every movie, using only guns, and her fighting skills whilst everyone else had powers. She protected Steve from living a life in prison even though she was on the other side and she beat up her best friend so that he could see his wife and kids once again. Thank you Natalie Rushman Natalia Romanova Natasha Romanoff Black Widow And most importantly: Scarlett Johansson for creating and acting out this beautiful, strong, commited, independent woman for 11 years. We love you Black Widow, and you will always be in mine, and everyones hearts

Thanos did what he thought was right for the UNIVERSE. And to know that he truly did love gamora to his heart really makes you question if he really is that evil.. Damn i love this movie

Because after his species became extinct due to overpopulation, he strongly believed that finding all the infinity stones and wiping out half of the population from the universe to prevent mass extinction was his destiny. He even said in the movie that he did turn away from his destiny once, and that he could not do so again. So ultimately, he decided to sacrifice Gamora in order to obtain the Soul Stone. I think she was the only person he truly loved. Of course, it hurt him deeply to make that sacrifice.

honestly think the greatest Character of this decade is Thanos right now. this film wasn't about the Avengers at all. it was played as Thanos' hero journey, yes he is the villain over all. he is evil, but he truly believes what he is doing is right in a twisted way and he goes through all the trials a protagonist would in a story; starting the heroes journey, making progress, self doubt/sacrifice/loosing a loved one , fight with over whelming odds, almost fails, victory, happy ending. it is all twisted. and it is all perfect. I need to rewatch again.

He sacrificed himself to protect the only family he had left by giving the tesseract to Thanos and standing up to him. To me Loki is the true hero. ❤️❤️❤️ R.I.P Loki prince of Asgard

This scene was easily the best scene of the movie. Why? Because this is where we see how deep of a character Thanos is. It showed that he actually loved Gamora and he cries. It's even more tough when before in the flashback you see him take Little Gamora with him, now in the scene where he sacrifices his daughter he does the same thing when he takes Little Gamora. Thanos is the not only the best villain of the MCU but also the best villain of the decade. Give Josh Brolin a Supporting Nom!!

Connor Morley and also Josh Brolin's Thanos is very close to both Heath and Jack's Joker. For best portrayal of a comic book villain. It'd be like this 1. Joker (Nicholson/Ledger) 2. Thanos 3. Magneto 4. Lex Luthor (Hackman) 5. Erik Killmonger 6. Bane 7. Loki 8. Green Goblin (Dafoe) 9. Penguin 10. Doc Ock

The moment that the Soul Guardian revealed the key to taking the soul stone, she also probably would have immediately taken her life before Thanos could act. But she stood there, laughing at her supposed victory..... ...if only she knew....

can you imagine how much it hurt Thanos...a father, who would have GLADLY laid down his life to fulfill his mission...had to lose the one person who he had hoped would take over for him once the job was done.... In the end...his mission denied him even That much....he was never allowed to see her ascend to her rightful place. "The hardest decisions require the strongest wills" Thanos is a goddamn hero who risked it all to save the universe from extinction and conflict....and he sacrificed his own daughter to save us. Sounds similar to another deity who had to sacrifice his only son to save humanity, doesn't it.

I will not spoil the context of what happens but let’s just put it as that it makes this score and scene from Infinity War a lot more powerful. I think the scene in Endgame was a lot more sad while Infinity War’s was more dramatic and emotional. God damn it Vormir.

@@lologikus-5765 Personally nothing beats Gamora and Thanos' scene. That moment when you realize he's not just a 1 dimensional villian, the shock when she tries to take her life with the very knife her father gave her, and the moment when she's thrown you can see Thanos is really hurting. The emotion and song went together extremely well with the "reluctant" murder of Gamora. But Black Widow wispering to let go is really heartbreaking too.

This movie did something that the DCEU will not be able to do anytime soon. It will be very long before they can get to this level. Now that we have had 10 years of the MCU, we know the characters and are emotionally attached to them. The DCEU has not done that with their characters. You barely got any time to get to know the characters. Superman and Wonder Woman were the only ones to get a solo film in the DCEU before Justice league. They just threw all of the characters into a movie with very little background. I am very proud of Marvel Studios of making an amazing movie. In my opinion, Avengers: Infinity War is the best superhero movie of all time, and I guarantee that others agree with me. Bravo to all of the Marvel Studios staff, including Kevin Feige, the Avengers: Infinity War directors, and the cast. They put 10 years worth of movies all into one movie, and they did it perfectly. I am sure that everyone is already hyped for Avengers 4 (c'mon, we are ready for the title), as I sure am. I hope this movie or anyone else involved in this movie will get an Oscar. They all deserve one.

I agree. I grew up with these characters. Year after year, I was coming back to the movie theatre to see the next part of their journey. Never did a film franchise manage to build so strong bond with its protagonists, until now. That 10 years journey with Marvel was SO worth it, because now I can really bond with the heroes (and villains!), understand them and feel something for them. So when Infinity War came out, you know... that was such an emotional rollercoaster. (Of course I cried!)
