Ritchson is actually the perfect size to play Batman. Batman is peak physical condition and is supposed to be intimidating. He is keeping up with gods and aliens. Watching Reacher changed my mind on him. I would love to see him in the role of Batman and Bruce Wayne.

Every time a Batman has been casted, the public has always had a bad reaction to it. But, the Batman castings has always had a good track record. I would not be mad if he was casted. I've always enjoyed everything Alan has been in.

Well we don’t know how old Damien will be. Just because he was 10-12 years old in the comics when he debuted doesn’t mean he will be that age in this new DCU. It’s just weird as hell if they say that a 12 year old is fighting along side Batman you know. It’s why I never liked the concept of a live action Robin. Unless they age him up more. My feeling is that they will go for a 16-17 year old Damien who has been trained since he was a toddler lol.

The more I think about it, I think he would be great. He did a good job playing tortured, dealing with substance abuse in his role in Titans.

DCU should stop casting Batman and focus on casting Bruce Wayne instead. Any committed actor can just put an extra pounds of muscle through training. What makes marvel's Avengers great is that they cast a great Tony Stark in RDJ and not casting him only to play Ironman

Reacher has my vote

Alan Ritchson on Inside with you about depression and his bipolar disorder is a must watch. He could go deeper into his psychy if needed, hopefully before his breaking point though

he looks more like Batman than all the previous actors that have played Batman before, combined

I think he would kill the role. He can play batman even Bruce wayne. He is perfect look for the overall role. However we shall see!

reacher I believe put him in contention because reacher is basically batman with some bruce wayne sprinkled in, he's already showed he can play a strong and intelligent protagonist with detective skills.

Hed actually make a great brutal batman. And a good Bruce Wayne.

First place I saw Alan was in Titans where he basically played a bargain store Batman with alcoholism and a bird motif. He would need to reel back that performance, but in that he shows off the charisma that Bruce Wayne would need to convey

He played a great Hawk in Titans, I think he could pull off Batman

The problem is, you have to find a Superman that's approximately the same size and build as Ritchson. You can't have Batman standing next to Superman and towering over him.

I think Alan Ritchson should play Batman in DCU 🙏👍. I think he can pull it off because his physical his fighting skills and I would say could pull it off Bruce Wayne too, he's a great actor he played two DC characters from he played Aquaman from Smallville to Titans hawk and definitely in Reacher series a great show by the way

I hate stating my opinion, but here we go......we all know the person playing Superman is not a big dude, which means his suit will be padded. Alan's suit will not be padded, not even a little. Bruce Wayne can't look bigger than Clark Kent. They won't look right standing next to each other. Alan would've been great instead of Pattinson in The Batman

I think the only problem you run into with him is that given how giant he is he’d be less inconspicuous as Bruce Wayne than the actors we’ve had before, because the past Batmen were fit too but Alan Ritchson’s physique far exceeds any of them, and so I feel like he’d be more noticeable to the citizens of Gotham than the other actors were, and so I think it’s a matter of “Great choice for Batman but maybe not for Bruce Wayne”

I could totally see it! I wouldn’t be mad at this choice at all.

He already has a connection with WB and DC due to his role in Smallville and Titans, where in the latter he demonstrated the psyche of a somewhat broken hero. He's a better actor than maybe he's been given a chance to demonstrate yet, but I would welcome him taking on the role.

He's a decent choice, but I think they should go with someone with a smaller, sleeker build; someone that has the same frame as a lean ninja. They've already given us a 'tank' version in Affleck, and Pattison's got a slimmer build. Why not try for something in the middle of those two? Also, can we have a Batman that's not a full decade and more than Superman? I've always envisioned the World's Finest as being relatively close in age. Corenswet is already in his thirties; why not get get someone within their 30s as well? He could still have fathered a early teen kid, and by the time they do get around to filming this Batman, Corenswet will also be of the age to have fathered a early teen too.

I would hope that if Ritchson is cast that Gunn would tell him to slim down. I to would like to see a more athletic looking Batman. Not as thin as Pattinson but nowhere as big as Affleck. I would like to see a Batman similar to the Neal Adams Batman of the 70's. Powerful slim athletic look.

Is it weird to say I think he's too big for Batman lol I know there's some comic series where Batman IS huge but in live action it's kind of hard to believe such a huge guy would be so sneaky and agile 😆😆 Pattinson was too small too so there's definitely a sweet spot, namely pretty much every other actor that played Batman in the movies lol

Sklenar's my pick too. He's a big dude, just an inch shorter than Ritchson, is a terrific actor, and can easily pull off the balance between the brooding, intimidating, and traumatized nature of Batman, and the charming side of Bruce Wayne. Plus, he's within the age range Gunn described aiming for with Batman in the DCU, which was MAYBE a couple years older than Superman.

Looks is only one part of it. I would need to see him acting in the role

We aint even done with Robert Pattinson yet, I hope they dont keep changing actors to soon like wet diapers

2 different universes. Robert batman is in its own thing separate from the connected DCU.

Everyone complaining he’s too big forgets he wasn’t always that big, and actors can purposely LOSE mass for a role. Christian Bale bulked up too much for Begins after he did Machinist and had to lose some muscle to fit in the suit.

I'm sure Ritchson could kill it as Batman but I just can't see it &I agree with Mr Reeves I'm not really seeing him as Bruce Wayne character. I don't think he & Alfred really works on screen but maybe there won't be an Alfred in the DCU. He's probably too young to play Jason Todd, that works better but my 1st choice would be Jean-Paul Valley aka Azrael. Ritchson as Hawkman or Captain Atom works well too

The only way Alan would work as Batman is if they go with a more over-the-top, action-spectacle take on the character. Alan is so physically big and imposing that some villains would have to be CGI characters (like Bane) so Alan could seem like an underdog. 😆

I can tell who actually watches this guy because you all saying no dont have legit reasons. First the man was in Titans so hes familiar with the lore, he literally been worrking for DC since Smallville, that saves DC time and money and I agree he's already been casted. This is a seed being dropped 100 percent. Also Reacher is just a "real world" Bruce Wayne minus the suit and money, he still has trauma(PTSD)

I don't know man, maybe because i watched him play hawk in Titans, he seems like a person that is good at playing some jerky buff dude who makes dumb decisions but means well for his family type of characters. I know actors have range, but idk from the the projects I've seen him in he didn't feel like Bruce Wayne to me. I'm optimistic but I hope this isn't the case.

I think Jensen lacks the physicality for this DCU. Cornsweat will probably play Superman at 6’4 220+lbs. Batman can’t be 6’0 180lbs
