Alain Ballereau’s lyrical abstract landscapes reveal a certain kind of melancholy. The experimental artist has widely exhibited throughout the years in his native France, as well as in the United Kingdom and the United States. Ballereau prefers to work using acrylics, as it suits the fluidity and speed of his gestures. His favorite material is kraft paper because it is time resistant, natural, and acid-free.

Alain Ballereau's paintings cannot be denied as very interesting, often nature-inspired, glimpses of other realities. The viewer is submersed into the netherworld of the subconcious, with exotic color changes and horizons from other worlds.
