The pianist was playing on my own for a second lol

I just heard the news. Ainsley Melham (along with the brilliant Michael James Scott as the Genie) are re-uniting with Arielle on Broadway in mid-February. This is awesome!!!!!!! :)

Arielle is by far my favorite Princess Jasmine! She is incredible! Ainsley is also phenomenal as Aladdin! Wish I could have seen them in Sydney!

Amanda Hovendon - I sure to hope you have the chance to see this incredible musical my fellow fan. I saw the touring company while they were in Chicago. Everybody is awesome. But Adam stole the show for me. He just breath-taking in every measure. :)

It has just been confirmed. Arielle Jacobs will be playing Princess Jasmine on Broadway starting next year in late February. I am so thrilled for her!!!!!!!!!! She is magnificent. :)

Desmitskes Unplugged - Nothing of the sort would ever happen. To which both the Jacobs siblings have addressed for confused fans on their social media. They are definitely not starring opposite each other. Adam (who had I pleasure of seeing live in Chicago) is currently starring in the North American National Tour of the production. The star now for the title character on Broadway is beloved NYC actor Telly Leung. That is the man Arielle will be co-starring with when she garners the role of Jasmine in late February.

Yes, I thought so. I've read once that it's a rule in acting (musical and tv) that family can't play romantic roles together. I was just wondering what Adam is doing now, as she can't play on Broadway when he's still there.

Adam left in February last year so he could be apart of the touring production, beginning in April last year.

Trixiah Gaming - For certain Adam is apart of the North American National Tour production. He started with it right from the beginning when Disney opened it in Chicago. To which I had the great pleasure of seeing him perform live. And he has not left yet. An announcement of some sort would be stated when the time comes.

Zoe Ainsley killed it is as Aladdin!!

I just saw these two great people today (6/9/19) on Broadway. Was blown away by both of their performances!

Now they play Aladdin and Jasmine on Broadway!!

For those of you who don’t know, Arielle Jacobs is the sister of Adam Jacobs who played Aladdin in the New York City production.

So lucky! She's one of my favorite vocalists working today. I hope I can catch a live performance from her one day. I was fortunate to enough to see Adam on the National Tour though. He was brilliant. This family is exceedingly talented. :)

Ainsley is amazing, I've seen the show and he was phenomenal, but does he not sound like he has a bit of a cold here?

Arielle's going to be apart of the Broadway company now.

She had lots pitch issues.

I'm far too attached to the original to really embrace this. Arielle sounds strikingly similar to Lea Salonga and does a great job. The Aladdin, i don't feel did it justice. When you watch the recording of the original with brad and lea they really put everything into it and you hear the excitement and enthusiasm in their voices. In this, you just hear too much vocal theatrics just for the sake of doing it. Maybe that's what broadway is about, i dont know. I've struggled to find anyone that can really recreate what the original duo did.

Shannon Scully Arielle isn’t as good as Courtney reed. Courtney sounds like an optimistic teenager which is what jasmine is. Arielle struggles when she sings. It’s painful to watch becuase she struggles so hard.

Yes his voice is too deep for Aladdin. He also sounds like he's having a hard time breathing. Maybe it's just nervousness. He & Arielle don't look that good together either. Adam & Courtney were the best

I just heard him live today (6/9/19) on Broadway, and he didn’t sound this deep then. He sounds like he may have a slight cold or something here.

Aladdin Sounds Like Elvis Presley.

The Pianist kept fuckin up and its throwing me off

He is so good looking but this song doesn't suit his voice. He sounds too old for Aladdin ( too mature) and Arielle has a perfect voice for this song ☺️

Courtney reed never struggled with singing like Jacobs sister.

Arielle is a legit trained vocalist. She is not struggling in the least. Her timbre is higher then Courtney's and she has more vibrato. But she is a fantastic emotionally engaged singer. Listen to her sing Let It Go, Colors of the Wind or When Will My Life Begin. Her belts are off the charts. If you want a list of people "struggling to sing" . I shall gladly provide you with one. But Ms.Jacobs is most certainly not on it.

Silver54ful In those she was amazing. In this it’s like she has to try really hard to get the notes out. In those it seems so effortless, like jasmine should sound, in this her voice is amazing it just sounds so out of breath and trying too hard. But other than that she is almost better than Courtney reed!

But in truth it's not a struggle. It's a different form of delivery. She's making her voice lighter and airy to provide a more lyrical tone. Using her head voice rather then belt. While the other numbers I mentioned are more about getting in touch from the core of your abdomen. Courtney uses the belting technique all the time. That's why her voice sounds lower on this particular song. As for Arielle "emotionally trying too hard." We shall have to agree to disagree. If you prefer Courtney as Jasmine. I wholeheartedly respect that. But I felt some things needed to be clarified in terms of vocal content on Arielle's behalf.

The American pantages broadway cast is 100 times better!
