The sheer joy expressed by the teammates and family members of the recipient make these videos so powerful. I even enjoy watching when it is a school I don't root for.

What you just mentioned is TRULY the magic of team sports. Especially when you get to the College level. The bonding that takes place between players and coach is beyond magical and powerful. When you think about it what you really have is 15 or so people (talking basketball here) who spend HOURS with each other every single day. This time spent together is done so with all of them being at emotionally high levels of focus, intensity, and emotion. They almost ALL scream in joy at the same time and cry at the same time. The all typically feel bad at the same time and feel great at the same time. Day after day, year after year. You know how the say if women get close and spend tons of times with each other how their cycles can start to line up with each other....that is literally what happens with team sports (odd comparison I know lol). These players and coaches can become such a deep part of you that you emotional cannot tell where you end and they begin because you feel like one entity! The magic of being part of a team!!!! I don't miss playing basketball in college, I miss THAT!!

@@mrhoffame You are preaching to the choir. I wrestled at Case Western Reserve University from 1980-82. Since it was a Division III program, our big moment was finding out that a teammate was going to Nationals.

Looks like they did this after a full hard practice session. I am glad that TAYLOR had a good practice to top off her months of hard work or it might have gone differently.

Yeah, Taylor!!!!! When I was in college there, the women’s basketball coach asked me to help recruit a player from my very large high school in another state, which I was happy to do.

A very kind and thoughtful gesture for a talented, deserving young woman. I'm also pretty confident that me going up against any member of the Alabama Women's Basketball team in a one-on-one match would more than likely result in me being outscored by (at a minimum) 80 to 1.
