I remember watching this game. It was one of the tensest games I've ever seen. The gold standard for defensive games (actually has really, really good defense rather than just incompetent offense).

I got to admit. I see what I seen LSU had defense that night but we did to. There was nothing but "D" both sides. Hardly any offense. We only had our QB that scored.

I enjoy watching Bama games this way.

This is why I laughed at people who said Hurts was a Heisman candidate. He fucks up every game. He just has the largest margin for error in the country because of Alabama's defense. I can't count how many times this season he's turned it over and Alabama got a 3 and out after and got the ball right back. Its nearly impossible to fuck it up as an Alabama quarterback.

AlphaDwg nobody really said he was a heisman candidate ? they said he will be in the future , as in his junior and senior year & what do you mean, he always messes up ? you're acting like he's a horrible QB which he is not by far. He has so much potential, and God willing he doesn't suffer any injuries, will be one of the best dual threat QBs Alabamas ever had by the time he graduates

He getting heisman hype dude and he shouldn't really be. I'm not saying he sucks. He's having a great freshman year but dude litteraly gets to make every mistake possible and none of it matters because of Bamas defense lol. Their defense all year has allowed him to develop with zero pressure. Fumble your first ever snap? Don't worry defense will hold them to just a field goal. Get a fumble returned for a touchdown against Ole miss? Don't worry defense scored twice to cancel that out. Can only produce 10 points on offense? ha this is Bama we'll just shut them out. I'm not saying he sucks. I'm saying the heisman hype he is getting (ESPN has him 3rd right now) is unwarranted and kinda disrespectful to the rest of the team which is doing more than their fair share of uplifting him. Watch the games. He is making costly mistakes that don't matter because Bama is that good and has that much talent. Like I said he aint terrible but heisman? Nah

I agree. Hurts is average qb at best! He plays with an above average defense and above average wr group. He is not that good. And I am from alabama in huntsville. And he still is average to me, but bama qb are never really the reason they win the bcs title!

This was the game where I doubted we could win the title. I didn't make it to the game this year but after the game was over I told my BIL that we wouldn't win the title. I thought the same after Auburn and Florida. These were nice wins but we didn't dominate like we should have. Now, Bama is LSU's biggest game and will always be "up" for this game but we should have won this game 31-14 or something. We did beat AU and Florida that way but it was all big plays. After the UT game we didn't methodically just beat teams we were better than.

I know it's old but LSU was a above average offense away last year from winning it all and their defense was scary good Bama wasn't going to get that many points with Jalen Hurts going against LSU's DB's

lsu owes alabama a home game. alabama played lsu 2 years in a row in 1992. before that, alabama home games were the odd years.

So, LSU needs Nick Saban's recruits and for Alabama to be on probation to win consistently against the Tide. Gotcha. Also, before that streak you referred to, Bama came very close to having 10+ in a row in the 90's, not to mention 11 straight from '72-'81. I really don't think LSU fans should bring up streaks vs Bama anymore.

i'm sorry just because a defender gets his ass whipped doesn't mean it's holding. even if it was, it doesn't change the outcome maybe 6-0 or even 3-0 but Alabama still wins. it's fairly obvious most refs rule against Alabama as with most dominant teams.
