Thanks again for providing all the technical information, and congratulations on your updated rig. And thanks for explaining why it might be advantageous to have your fishing space setup towards the back of the boat.

Great boat mate, Autopilots are under estimated with small boats!! I had 495 Surtees set up with one for solo fishing, No more constant adjusting steering when trying to set a spread of lures.
Awesome rig, on my bucket list for sure.

Great set up Al. I’m pleased to see that Avalon is pretty similarly spec’d. I agree in going for the higher gain aerials. I run 2 Shakespeare 6db and the range is so much better than my last boat.

Yeah so true and communication is so important !
She’s set up well Al, nothing more to do surely 😂 A mates got the 650htf and it’s a beast, handles very differently to my 600c. Heavier in the front end and not as nimble Entertaining as always Al.

really is a beautiful boat and you obviously thought it out pretty well. love the electronics but I can only dream. so when can I come for a fish?

yeah I am stoked about the electronics especially now I am getting my head around maximising them!
Hi Al ... Did you consider the twin outboard set up?

I thought about it but the extra weight increased servicing costs etc all steered me away. The biggest issue with outboards is fuel problems as opposed to mechanical so unless I have seperate fuel tanks its not really worth it.
