Gary Hart was one of the most under appreciated people in wrestling.
Always liked Al Perez, very technical and aligned with Gary Hart was awesome
Al Perez was one of my favorites in WCCW and mid south. He was great
Al Perez a true sweet heart and funny guy. Knew him many, many moons ago when he was with Southwest Championship wrestling.

Gary was fantastic. RIP to one of the greatest managers and bookers ever, and one of my wrestling idols :'(.
Al is still protecting the Von Erichs. True friend
Al is a Gary Hart guy.... Awesome
Gary Hart was Paul E.before Paul E. In 80's it was a privilege to be Gary Hart type of guy
Play Boy Gary Hart was pure Heat ... Missed today ..
Never knew much about him. Al seems like a pretty cool cat. Great interview as always Hannibal.

He comes across as a very credible person.
Al Perez doesn't take a back seat to anyone. I've always loved Al Perez when he was on Southwest Championship Wrestling that was based out of San Antonio, Texas. Thanks Hannibal. Later.
I'd never heard a Perez interview before this. He seems like a real class act.

Dev, been following your career and after your unfortunate situation with douche abby, a lesser man would have dropped out of the business, however, you turned a negative into a positive and flooded the market with some of best interviews I've heard from anyone who does these shoots. I didn't see it coming honestly and pleasantly surprised. Releasing bits at a time is a great formula and gives me something to look forward to. I'm from Baton Rouge and grew up on mid south and world class and the Von Eric's. No one talks about these territories as much you cover them. I absolutely love your channel and can't wait for the remainder of the Perez shoot. Keep them coming my brother and you have a loyal listener for life. Sincerely, Barrett j. Mabile
Al is a stand up guy. He worked with a guy from my town in Jersey, Jumpin Joe Savaldi
Awsome Interview with Al Perez
Forever one of my favorite wrestlers
Al Perez was supposed to be the Black Scorpion but I heard he didnt wanna do buisness so at the last moment they put Flair under the mask instead
Before there was Latino Heat there was The Latin Hearthrob Al Perez
Enjoyed all your Al Perez clips
Always felt he played "I'm a dick" gimmick great.
Still a handsome dude after these years
I saw the match it's on You Tube, Lawler, shoots on Kerry Von Erich, forgetting he had his blade taped to a finger and he went to scratch himself and cut his bicep open before the match, so Lawler, posted Kerry, trying to do the best they could to make it look like the blood came from the bump. Robert Fuller who spoke highly of Kerry, also said thinking at first it was a rib Kerry, would come up in the locker room saying something like "How have you been, how are the kids, that's what it's all about." But he would forget and come up to Fuller, like three times before the show and say the same thing.
Seth Rollins and Him would make a great pair

Thanks, Al... :)
When is the whole thing dropping?
Love Al
Random dude walks into the picture, realizes he's on camera and runs away
Class guy
Al Perez WCWA World Champ.
I liked al
I'd like to see Al in the ring today against some of these newer cats.
always though Perez had so much potential. seemed he needed a mouthpiece in WWF like he did in WCCW and JCP.
If only he hadn't threated to shoot on Ric Flair on a Bash at the Beach and destroyed his potential main event status.
👍
Wow, he's very self-aware about his mic work. I was fan and liked his mic work, though.
Looks like an older Matt Hardy.

This interview right here throws all the "drug" charges against Kerry into serious doubt IMO.

Gary Hart wrote in his book that the Von Erich boys were just fine, drug wise, when he was booking World Class. When he left and Ken Mantell took over, they stated to heavily abuse drugs and the locker room was a completely different scene when he came back under Mantell's booking. It's hard to tell how much of that is truth or not. David died in February '84. I don't believe he died of a drug ovedose given the autopsy. But I do think he was using pills given that Bruiser Brody had mentioned that he had to confiscate pills at the scene and Black Bart said David would do qualuudes and whisky after the matches. It could be that the locker room was using drugs at the end of Hart's booking in World Class (which was around '83) and the drug use didn't show up until later. But Kerry was a drug addict.

The arrest records of Kerry & Mike say otherwise as do many wrestlers who were not groomed at WCCW.
