Saw Al with RTF as a young rocker and had my mind expanded. Years later in a smaller venue he signed my campfire guitar which was promptly retired. Two decades later I got to see him again at a very classy place and surprise, soon after my son's High School jazz band got to play the same stage. I told my son he can never understand how cool this is for me.

I'm glad to hear Al mention Ralph Towner and Egberto Gismonti. Two of the greatest guitarist/pianist/composer artists I've ever listened to. They're famous in the jazz world but both have strong classical influences in their playing.
