Besides being an awesome Artist, Musician, Composer, he is one of the coolest and open guys in music. He gets the best musicians to play his compositions. Thanks for a great interview getting Al to talk in detail. Wonderful!

What an absolute gem, You got not only the interview of all interviews Joseph, but Al is so chill and transparently open and forthcoming with great story dialog. And he gave you more time that some performances. And kudos to you for not interrupting him when he was talking in at times it seemed almost like in a stream of consensus. Most hosts will be in the mindset of, "well this is not info I asked him for so let's redirect the guest" and so on, you know how it goes. And with someone like Al to those of us who are in a state of aww sence i was 10 we would be hard-pressed to interrupt The Man, But lets face it, most hosts would not know him from you or I only some history fact-checking would offer up other hosts a clue. And admittedly it would be difficult to not feel a drive to inject and innocently, but in error cutting off what would have been a great story. Like the "John switch" or telling dad "I'm playing Carnegie Hall pops." Should have brought that looper Joseph!! LOL. I hope you follow up with Al and go over to his pad and show him how to use that Boss looper. That RC4 or whatever it is is the one for Al. Al told me he purchased his mom and dad's home out in NY is that where you guys met for this interview? And I was listening to your work Joseph. Say man shoot me an email i would like to show you a little of what we're doing over here. Great Job Joseph, I would consider this one of life's "feather in your hat" Congrats. Jeffrey T. H. Great interview, Joseph! My only minor quibble is that I wish you would have asked Al about Chick's and Stanley's involvement with scientology. Word is that Chick would often pressure musicians in his bands to get involved with the cult. I have even heard that that was the reason Bill Conners left, and also the reason Al left twice. Notice that the band name itself (as well as many of the song names) are based on L. Ron Hubbard's crazy space bullshit. Scott Henderson has come out publicly to say that the pressure to join scientology was the reason why he left the original Elektrik Band. And speaking of that band, I found it slightly ironic that Al would rag on them for being sterile and soul-less (Dave Weckl, the Carl Palmer of fusion, anyone?). RTF (starting with their electric period) always seemed a bit "math-rock" to me, although we can agree that they were leagues beyond the Elektrik Band.

Ive loved Chicks music for so long since high school (1980s) and crazy enough I didn’t know Chicks Scientology connection until way later. It’s one of the only things that have me wondering why seems weird. I respect people and their beliefs, but damn it’s almost too much.

@@iceWaterProductions1 Regardless of belief (which I also don't use as a way to judge), scientology is different. It is a destructive cult whose aim is to manipulate and harm people. There is a video out there of its current leader, David Miscavige, announcing to a crowd of acolytes that he'd beaten the IRS to achieve tax exemption for the "religion". And Chick Corea is right there in the front row, whooping it up. It reminded me of Nuremberg rally. What most don't realize is that taxes are a zero sum game, assuming that what is planned gets done in this country. So, if you don't pay, I PAY. And sci-fi owes billions in taxes.
