It was a pleasure to watch as my people were taken from Ghana to Jamaica as slaves and to see the similarities between a Hebrew tribe in Ghana and Jamaica it's just wonderful. Some words I heard in this documentary and others beforehand are still being used in Jamaica today.

Hebrewisms of West Africa From Nile to Niger with the Jews by Joseph J. Williams PH.D. published in 1930. Pg. 22 section Ashanti influence on Jamaica customs. "To understand properly the spirit and aspirations of the better type of Jamaica peasant then, a close study of the Ashanti themselves became necessary, and this study in turn, led to some rather startling results and conclusions, that have been incorporated into the following pages." In the first place, many Hebrewisms were discovered in the Ashanti tribal customs. Then, several Ashanti words were found to have a striking resemblance to those of equivalent Hebrew meaning. Finally, the Supreme Being of the Ashanti gave strong indication of being the Yahweh( Ahayah Asher Ahayah in Hebrew in the English I AM THAT I AM according to Exodus 3:13-15) of the Old Testament.

The visit to formerly Akwamu State is very historic. It is a home visit. My little search confirms that the defeat of Denkyira State was initiated by the Akwamu State but they needed a mighty army in terms of numbers so they teamed up with the then Asantes(defeated State) to defeat the Denkyiras. A new royal family to rule the Ashantes with its root from Akwamu was founded with the help of Komfo Anokye from Akwamu State precisely Awukudwa. They snatched Tafo Hene's land despite his unsuccessful opposition to the imposition of new royal family
