    Lovely renovation once again! The only thing that seems a bit odd to me is the choice of wall paint upstairs. I love Japanese wallpaper, but I don't quite understand how such flat, bold colors go with the Japanese style.

    Do you know if you buy a house in Japan can it be financed by an American Bank or does it have to be financed in Japan?

    What is your opinion on Japan intervening in their currency? If you're a foreigner in the process of buying a home that may have a huge impact on your budget from start to finish.

    when gov'ts buy their own currency, it's really just a quick fix. long term it doesn't fix anything. the underlying reason why the currency tanked is still there. >

    japanese houses can be very spacious...until you bring tansu's in. then it gets pretty semai inside. :/
