Hoping it lives it to the positive reviews I have listened to. Got one for my son for Christmas. Was looking at the gopro hero 7 black package deal on amazon but loathed to pay nearly £300.

Well the hero7 will give a lot better image. Think that's obvious from my video Vs the hero 8

No worries!

I like the most recent versions of this camera better --- no badging under the front screen. This is nice to me. Hopefully, the audio has also been improved with a later firmware update. ? Who knows. But it does take pretty good video. I'm using a 256GB Samsung Pro SD card --- works fine. I do recommending you buy this "on sale" --- I got mine for US$112 + tax [Amazon] in a 'newish' box grey colored --- not blue.

Great review! You indeed already said that it's quite a hassle to get it opened around 2:39 but it literally took me so much effort (broke at least half of my nails) to get it opened that I had it returned. Anyone else facing this problem?

Thank you, glad you liked the review :) Should get a bit looser over time, to be honest, didn't have any issues recently when I opened it recently; would suggest pressing down onto the camera and sliding if that makes sense?

Thanks for the video. I can't figure out how to use any of the mounts and I bought it to mountain bike don't know how to mount it to my helmet in fact I can't get any of the mounts to work so unfortunately I'm just going to return it

This review is dated: Sep 7, 2020. Being fair to Akaso, I have the most recent version [firmware, quality] and its video quality is better than what you show.

Haha, very observant! They are indeed perception. Sometimes I wear contacts, other times, I choose to be blind in front of the camera 😂

I have the same problem as you, there is a lot of pixelation on the footage, also the GoPro, I think it is the KZread codec.

Other guys that test the same cameras doesn't show the video blurry as yours. How come there is such different between the same works?

@@TotallydubbedHD , Reading through some discussions on privacy on mobile phones and looking at permissions required by apps, I thought how strange it is that there are few discussions on this issue when we look at cameras. Yet cameras have wifi and the apps are on the phones which we discuss. We criticize the big firms for surveillance and data gathering, but we don't think twice about the trust we have to place in cameras and their apps. Hence my question.

Image stabilizer is not that good, and the colour is not to my liking though. Plus side, front LCD and body waterproof to certain extend.

got one, sitting beside my go-pro 5 cant hardy hear the playback audio. skip this and buy the 8, i hear its better. ill stick with go-pro, even an amazon refirb at the same price is better than this. if it took an external mike maybe?

Gopro in the woods on a bike couldn't cope, but Akaso was a complete failure. Nothing unusual - Akaso records at a lower bitrate

Mine was as well. I tried everything to make the footage look good but it looks shit...even with the best of the memory cards. It looks great ONLY in super bright light outside...everything else...even on mildly overcast the footage is potato. I sent it back.
