Same here. It's definitely going to stay my go to for my videos, but this is a good less expensive alternative.

Just getting to know my new Brave 7 LE that I got a few days ago. Didn't realize there is no possibility of an external mic. Fortunately the audio isn't that bad and I'm going to be mostly using this for snorkeling here on Phuket where I live. There is a setting for using it underwater that I'm interested in trying out. Thanks for the video!

i just got this yesterday and the sound is sooo bad. i cant hear anything on playback on the camera and when i upload to pc i have to turn volume to max and even then i can only just hear the recording. what settings are you on?

I own one and it now has external mike using the micro USB connection.

yes it does have an audible alert. I own this camera and have now for nearly 3 months. My opinion - do not purchase it.

Hi What do you think of the 1080p video quality, i've seen a number of reviewers who have said the quality looks not so good on this setting and also 2.7k. Also does the voice control work have you tried it yet, i already have 2 Akaso cameras the V50X and the V50pro, the V50X is a great camera with very good image quality and stabilisation but it's let down by dreadful low volume muffled audio.

mentioned cameras have very very bad 1080p and 2.7k quality, unacceptable for today standards. 4K is the only usable resolution and that quality is also average.

Yeah, the DJI Osmo Action is actually down to $234 though, and for my money, it is worth the extra $$$. I absolutely love my Osmo Action personally.

You have to change it manually in settings..

Thanks for the review. Seems like a decent option but I'm not very impressed with it

Got mine last week and did a few test runs with it. Got a ton of wind noise while riding my motorcycle. So, I went out and purchased a mic foam cover, then cut out a small piece to cover the mic holes on the camera. It made no difference. Just as much wind noise as without the foam cover. Any other solutions to this I should try? Video quality was really good using a chest mount.

I just bought [1/23] a Brave 7 LE [$112+tx - Amazon] and guess what? There's *NO* "Brave 7 LE" under the front screen. [I like this better.] I believe it's a late-2022 version. Here's the Model/Firmware Info: >>>>> *Model: Brave 7 LE-386-6G Ver: 20220511-FXM-V2.1* According to its Setup, it offers an option for >>>> *External* Microphone. I inserted and formatted (in Camera) >>>> a *256GB card* [Samsung Pro Plus] and was able to take a video and save it to this card.. Also, for this version, the packaging is slightly different --- instead of the blue box, it is a grey that matches the camera color..

Hi, new camera. Can anyone help me get the back plastic cover off the camera? I've already taken off the black flap on top with the metal bar. The suction is Unbelievable, I can't budge it open. I've been trying for 3 days now...Cust serv was no help and I'm going on vaca tom.

5:35 stabilization off 11:40 stabilization on It seems if you're shooting selfies then leaving it off is better, because the talking head is not bouncing up and down as much. If you're shooting the scenery, then it's better with it on, but point the camera at the scenery instead of yourself, since that's the area of interest, and the bouncing head detracts from the shot.

Does it save an hour of footage or does it break up into a bunch of 8 minute clips?

I found that it shoots 10 minute clips at a time.

no - while it does have micro usb and hdmi ports they are useless as they do not offer external microphone support.

The image quality is terrible on this camera. Most phones are just as good quality.

This camera sucks. just got it yesterday. my 6 year old smartphone takes better pics and vids. no way is it 20 megapixel. also the sound is terrible. i mean terrible. i had to turn my pc up to max to hear what i was saying on vid and even then it was muffled. poor camera. very dissapointed.
