He failed to achieve greater heights because lack of novelty when compared with Yesudas. Each generation expects variety in art. Varierty is absent. He is more or less an alternate version of Yesudas. Whichever way it is viewed, he sang about 15, 000 songs over a period of about 42 years, which almost works out to about 1 song per working day. It is a reasonably successful career.
