Funny thing is he said the government allows perceived prejudice and then he just confirmed the thought is violence or kill someone if they disrespect you. Might accept some responsibility for a change.

I grow up in south London and I was born their knife and guns was always an issue it’s just got worse that’s all if you lived there you saw it everyday I moved out of London at 21 with my parents when the man next to my dad at the bus stop at the elephant and castle was shot dead my dad was waiting to go home from work the second occasion and drug addict attacked my dad because he would not buy a car stereo it wasn’t that bad living in East Dulwich or Peckham in the early 80s it got worse 20 years later and that is the government fault for not doing enough to deal with it and it was said from the head of police that young men are carrying more knives to protect them selves we have people coming in the uk from lawless country’s that would kill you so how are people supposed to protect themselves?

stoap whut? knife crime? ''we'' swept it under the rug mate and pretended it wasn't there. then we put cameras on every single store-front and street corner... and it's still a problem the authorities and press are bullshitting the rest of UK about. just six years ago a guy got knifed to death while the paramedics were trying to save him. one of the EMT's got stabbed too in process, not a copper tae be seen for 17 minutes... no joke. The only reason it's not stayed total chaos here in Glasgow is a few of the gangs grew up and it's THEM who put the kai-bosh on the battles and chibbings.

The way he grew up? He grew up in stage school, was the younger brother of Ms Dynamite, a successful pop star, but paints this picture like he is from the ‘hood’ and had it hard because he is black. Don’t fall for this guy’s narcissism.

He grew up in Hackney and he was poor, he had a large family and a single mother they often would go to bed with a slice of toast for dinner. Yes he was involved in the arts at Hackney Empire but don't think that growing up in Hackney was easy.

Yeah you'd just have an uptick in gun crime as all those guys pulling out knives get shot. Those who survive take out guns instead and the cycle repeats. If you listen, Akala states himself it's about fear and insecurity and he started carrying a knife because he was threatened with one. Carrying a gun doesn't fix the inner issues, it just escalates the results. We're not the US, keep guns out of the hands of the public where they don't belong.
