this channel never disappoints You're just going ableton -> interface -> (midi) akai ? Also for your tracks on cubase 3 what interface do you use?

In this case, Motu M4 was my interface. Midi from the M4 goes to my Unitor 8 running in patchbay mode, then routed to the S3200XL. I use the Unitor 8 in serial mode for Cubase 3 on the PowerBook G3 or older. What is being recorded is the stereo out from the 3200XL back into Ableton.

@@Arc.hitectureMusic mega helpful! Been meaning to get back into sequencing with the computer so I'm figuring the setup out. Always love using older boxes for sequencing, less distractions.

@@yarnf something of note is the Unitor 8s now work on Mac M1 thanks to apple updating the drivers. For Windows furthest I have gotten is Win XP.

There is 3 different basses; one baked into the break, the other a Korg MS20 sample I recorded years ago, and a 808 bass kick tuned. Test program was used for beeps and the E Piano
