@dum3sh1t Memorize the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl-, (control key & comma). Alternatively, click the nearly hidden menu icon in the top left corner (three horizontal bars, sometimes called a hamburger icon) to popup the vertical menu. Mouseover the Edit pullout menu to reveal Preferences at the bottom of it.

Track and control select doesnt work for me, i had to use Master to get the pads to do some sound

Great vid - Can you assign a whole chord to the pad?

i don' t have after installation of the software , any audio lab in which I can find the plugin..... basically I can't let map beats recognise the hybrid and other software in the box

HELP Having problems with setting up APK mini MK3 with Reason 12. Reason 12 option is available its not sending any information from the keyboard to the DAW, Also I cant log into My Akai account keeps saying wrong email and when I reset password it says sending emails to change password and no email received so how am I supposed to change the password, I'm also unable to get customer support or update My Akai products because I cant log in.

How does one set up transport controls in MPC beats for the AKAI MPK mini MK3? I tried midi learn and setting record and play to a pad. It didn't actually work unless I slammed the pad and registered a full scale 127/127 hit. I tried all the midi learn options and none worked. Same for trying a key instead of a pad to use as a transport control. This would be really great if I could control the transport without moving back to the mouse and keyboard.

Can I play with this direct from the box or I need the pc ? Can I power to a speaker and star run out beats ?

the new mpk mk3 has a differnet set up than the one used in this video, I had to turn on master in order to get my pads to work with the program.

hello :) maybe someone here can help me. i'm completely new to the game midi controller and i have no idea. i've done the installation and everything works fine. now when i select the hiphop kit just like in the video, i have different sounds on my pads and in mpc beats the buttons i press don't light up. i also have no sound on the bottom right pad and no sound on the second pad in the top row. what could be the reason for this? did i do something wrong during the installation or did i accidentally set something wrong? i would appreciate any helpful answers.

no only plug ins you download it comes with the mpc beats for free

@inMusic Brands Support - at 1:42 I'm having no luck. My controller is attached to my MacBook via a USB-B to USB-C cable and I see "In" respond when I tap on the pads, however it does not light up the mapping in the MPC DAW. Also no sound from the keyboard. I updated the MIDI settings as you showed right before that. Tapping PROG SELECT also didn't open the same menu you showed at :50

Try to fix the buffer size in your configuration section. Also you can download Asio4All and asign it as your audio driver in configuration.

I don’t have the “Preferences” tab

Hello - in addition to using the file menu, you can instantly open the Preferences menu in MPC with a keyboard shortcut: macOS: press the CMD and , (comma) keys simultaneously Windows: press the CTRL and , (comma) keys simultaneously

I have the one without the knobs on the right I only have the 4 knobs above the drum pads and the 6 buttons to the right It is a MK3 by Akai. I cant find a video with this one

That's not even the MK3, yours is the Mini Play, he mentioned it towards the end of the video...

Do you have to pay for mpc beats or does it showup when you connect it to your computer via laptop?

that among other bundle software, you have to download it. reg keys etc is on back of keyboard and in box etc.

@@dharanisham I might have figured it out..at least for me. Go to the hamburger button on the top left of MPC BEATS, then go to edit, then preferences. From there, go to Midi/Sync. Then, at the top of that, just below Input Ports should say MPK mini 3. Make sure all three of the things are on(light-grey)..master,control and track. Hope this helps

For me the drumpads are working as keys

Hi there - as of MPC 2.11, the MIDI input mode previously known as "MASTER" is now titled "GLOBAL". Per the 2.11 release notes: "All instances in the MPC that refer to the 'Master' are now referred to as 'GLOBAL' or”'MAIN'."

I'm returning my mini mk3 because the plugins do not upload as promised and the iLok and inMusic sites are a confusing run around, no wonder Ableton is the number DAW, this is BS.

It was that mapping was impossible, now i cant even see the pads on cpu

I'm about to lose my mind, i can not select program, it's been 1 year and it was working well but now my pad 1 is in pad 13 and i can not change it

@@KonigDerLufte dude Open your Mpk mini software manager and enter mpk editor. Then choose "File" at the top left and enter "Open Program". Choose MPC BEATS. And say Send To Ram at bottom left. That's all. But you have to do this before Open MPC Beats all the time. At least i gotta do this before enter

Hello, I had the same thing. You have to go through the edit-preferences-audio device-audio device type and select direct sound instead of windows audio

Software does NOT work on a MAC under 14.1 !!!!! so just burnt my money !!!

This absolutely does NOT work why are all y'all saying it does? The pad 1 has itself registered as pad 2 regardless of how i map it in fact. When i go to map and select pad one in the software then assign it to the hardware it registers pad 1 as 2 IN MAPPING how tf are y'all saying this works????

The pads don’t play 16 levels , chords and only 16 pads in bank A that’s on the software. Using the typing keys as pads work better than these pads they are only good for drums

You must be using an Apple computer because on windows it does not look like r that.

1st of all I have no idea what all of this terminology means and 2nd I did everything step-by-step exactly 100% pausing hundreds of times to do it exactly like what you're doing and my screen does not look at all the same as yours and the things that are happening on yor happening on your screen are not at all the same as mine...... I am so sad

You're not alone. My software and Mini pad are not reacting the same as the video, either. And this is the third video I've watched in an attempt to get my pads to map correctly to the software. It's as if the company doesn't want most people to understand their own product. The manual and reference materials are all trash and not at all helpful. Sucks for neurodivergent people the most.

You can change the speed of the video using the gear settings.

Nobody should buy these until they fix the drivers and software! *_WORST AUDIO CONTROL AND DRIVERS OF ANY MANUFACTURER AND ZERO SUPPORT_* Regret buying into Akai.
