I like the new mpc line, but it’s pretty much a dealbreaker to me that the different note repeat buttons are on the touch screen. Feels very sluggish. I also don’t really like the touch screen period. That’s one of the main reasons I downgraded to an mpc studio black. However the buttons on the MPC ONE looks really nice.

Hi, I'm wondering if after you record those 1/32 hihat patterns is possible to modify the volume of the independent notes or maybe assign some kind of velocity curve to the section of hats so that I can make it feel more dynamic. Like we listen in D&B or breakbeat. Thanks!

What were you using? Because I came from FL studio and got both the ONE and X and it was pretty easy converting. I will say this, most of the internal FX in these new MPCs are better than most of the stock FX in. FL studio. I'd say it took me about a week to develop a solid work flow and get my first full beat mixed / mastered. This was after doing a bunch of playing around with things just to get the hang of navigating. The only thing I wish they had in these things was a spectrum analyzer. Doesn't ever have to be a great one. Just something to give us a general visual representation of what's going on in our mixes. But then these things already do a lot so that's just a minor inconvenience. Other than that, I have no complaints whatsoever. I was literally about to pull the trigger on the FL all plugin bundle until I seen a review on the MPC ONE. I week later I pre-ordered it and when I realized I wouldn't get it for 3 months I went ahead and ordered the X just so I could have it faster. I figure the ONE will come in handy for when I have to go places since the X is too damn big and bulky to travel with. One thing that has been changed on all but the X is the Q links now have a pop-up when tweaked that lets you know what it's controlling. Don't need that with the X because there's OLED screens below each knob that says what it's affecting.

I consider these new MPCs very creative instruments, but these Akai demo guys make these paint by number demos that almost makes you embarrassed to buy their gear. I’ve heard more interesting record skips than that stuff. Unbelievable really.

I'll let you know this from experience! If you're coming from a sampling background then it doesn't get any easier than the MPC!!! But now I appreciate that Akai recognizes that the hardware & software combo is very important too the old & new producers! I think they finally got it going in the right direction with the stand alone option & the ability to use software at the same time!!! It's the best of both worlds. It's things I like and dislike about both. But if I was starting out now I would want the option of that equal work flow that Akai is bringing to the table now. You can save yourself alot of time and get the most bang for your $ with this stand alone/software controller option!!! I wish it was like that when I 1st started cause I would have saved alot of $!(LoL)💯

LionofJudah you can do the same with any groove box. It’s the man with the skill that makes the Maschine. The Maschine doesn’t make the man.

Who is you? The song was whack but it's definitely trap--so all credibility is lost right there, expert. ha ha But shiiii, I'm game" What's making you say it's not trap? Oh, and it's not like Maschine is anything, anyway. Alls these things are is people buying music that other people created and then playing it back talkin bout "I'm a beat maker". Ha ha ha No you isn't. Youse a beat chopper upper and play back different maker. ANYONE can, and most everyone DOES do that. Dig it? I'm just saying, nephew....before you come in here thumping your chest kick back. You ain't nobody anyway. Remember that. Oh, and how you gonna talk greasy and ain't nary a beat one your channel? The f*ck. I hope you isn't like just some cheerleader or some sh*t. You got me f*cked up..."player".

@@Clutchmillion77 ". It’s the man with the skill that makes the Maschine. The Maschine doesn’t make the man." Yeah, okay. That makes zero sense I hope you know that, But damn when we gonna see your skill? I mean I was like all geeked up when I sees your comment like "oh shit...this dude is a REAL one. I bet his beats are hard AF." But then I go to your channel and.....well.....ya know. the fu*k is wrong wit you, son? p,s. You know I'm just messing with ya right? p.s.s. No I'm not.

7:20....and thus why all this software using DAW non musician music is begging to sound the same. This is nothing but maintaining music. For you younger cats out there....if you are serious about this...consider MAKING your own samples (get a synth/drum kit, etc and you are gold. This way you can SELL your samples to these DAW companies. Becuase....now that everyone on the planet can create a beat in less than 5 minutes...its nothing. I'm personally going to get one of these MPC ones, as i don't use a DAW and want to have a quantiszed wav player. Beeeyach

As much as I hate trap over classic (real) hip-hop, it has its place and is currently dominating the world.
