My pleasure!
I picked up the Basic Colors set a while ago. They behave a lot like softer water color pencils which I've been using for decades. Strongly recommend a top coat of your favorite varnish if you use them on miniature for TTGs or on poseable Gundams/Models or to customize toys/legos.
I love these things. I was gifted the metallic set(the one with CP30 on the cover) and they are amazing.

Nice, I haven't tried the metallics yet, guess they can be next! :)

You’re welcome 😊 Just a couple, I will experiment more with them too. Thanks Ray!
Posted on the FB group a my 1st rushed attempt with them and gotta say I love them. Use them dry, wet or with a damp brush and you can get some really cool effects

Good stuff!
Do these hold up to seal coating the model afterward? Or should sealer be applied before their use?
I have just started using them and I find dipping the pencils in water they are alot easier to apply and control.

I've just really started gunpla and I found a clear primer formulated for plastic by Montana paints have u or heard anything about these types of primer and r they any good .
Lincoln, Thanks for showing these. They are most interesting. Have you tried to completely remove the material? Is it like an oil paint effect where if you don't like what you see you can always remove it or does some of the pencil effect stay behind?

You can come back days later with a wet brush and remove it all if you like. So long as you haven't covered with a clear coat. The pencils essentially lay down a fine pigment. You can play and adjust it, and totally remove it, with just a wet brush.
Have you used Prisma color pencils? I've drawn with them. They are oil based and can be blended easily with thinner like paint. I heard they can be used on gunpla and models but haven't tried it.
Are these the same as W & N water colour pencil or artist waterlor pens?
Wow that's a lot of pencils!

Right!?! I'm scared to choose now! :D
good review, I was a bit skeptical of these and having been burnt by enamel/spirit based weathering products on my recent Bandai efforts was hoping they could be useful. Will give them a go!

Glad you like them!
They work better if you had a tiny bit of acrylic flow improver or dish soap to your water to reduce surface tension.

Yes I added some airbrush thinner on a subsequent use on a wet palette as I had it within reach on the bench to test out. Not bad for washing. :)
When will your encyclopedia/F.a.q book be released? Anytime soon?

Colors are good and useful too. Good names for us modellers to understand. :)

I agree , and I already have a bunch of those. I do however prefer to draw with my Prismacolours, which are the the total opposite of aquarelle. I wonder what effects I can use these for. Once you lay down a colour it's there to stay. No liquid I've tried, nor erasers will move them. So a totally different result than these from AK I.
Lol. Discovered last night these don’t work well on clear gloss.....

Paint on Plastic by Lincoln Wright thought I had been suckered in by the hype train again! Hopefully a flat coat will prove the difference
You see alot of that on AK products always something not spelt correctly!
Not really zoomed in enough to see what its doing.
