This is the best description of the area I have heard in a decade of learning about Lake Chapala area.

Oh wow! I am so happy to hear that you really found value in our video! I am sorry that it took so long
My God ,im overwhelmed ! Thats too much comfort ! I live in México and couldent afford this place ,but if i could , i would be there in a heart beat, i love it👍.
I believe it’s possible to communicate with knowing very little Spanish . I’ve been a nurse for 2 decades in California and I only know like 4 Spanish words and with sign language and certain words, I have been able to communicate to get by for basic care. However when it’s time for discharge, because the full instructions is lengthy sometimes, I use the automated translation. If I move to Mexico, I definitely feel your experience would be more fruitful but learning Spanish. I plan to learn it. And BTW, I have always had the most pleasant and kind Mexican patients that have always been so grateful for care.

In Ajijic it is very easy to get around with knowing very little Spanish but it is good to learn anyway.
Wow! I like the feel of this video. The sun looked so beautiful. Refreshing feel!!!
The apartments look great, way over my puny budget, lol! Wonderful views and Wendy is a font of knowledge!

I will let my friends know, I am having them send your video to their kids so they can get a better idea of where they are moving to. They currently live in Ajijic but this apartment hit almost everything they were looking for :)! So flipping happy to have seen the video.... I didn't want to lose them to another area❤ and they are only an 8 minute walk to our house !😊

Wendy is a very knowledgeable? She's the type of real estate agent that an expat should seek out if buying a property in the Ajijic area?
@chasingtheAmericanDream
Жыл бұрын
I would absolutely say that is the case. I felt very confident and comfortable with her and look forward to working with her myself in the near future. I always recommend that you can give her a call and feel out her style and knowledge for yourself though, she's very generous with her time and efforts.

Loved this exposure to Ajijic Mexico, however, I wonder, from what I've learned about the pollution in the lake if she stepped over that presumed fact?
What if I want to visit there for a month or so? What would it take to rent a small place?

It depends on the location and size of the place. You can go on Facebook groups and search some places.
"Interesting" that the interview was done at the busiest, noisiest corner on the north side of Lake Chapala. Even going inside that (truly awful) coffeeshop would have helped the quality of the video.

No, we have never been to Veracruz! One day!
It was mentioned that younger ppl were making the move there. I thought it was only retirees because they have their retirement benefits/checks to live on. So, can one live there and work from home? Can one buy a home even if not retired?

If you are a young person, you do homework, you like relaxed environments, but at the same time you want to be close to a modern city like GDL, with many shopping options, fun and connectivity. Ajijic is an excellent place!

it's a pair of feathers. The a/c is blowing them which makes them flutter around very similar to a hummingbird's movement.
Video is good but need some improvement with the sound. Couldn't hear the realtor that great and the guys voice was about 5x or hers. I kept turning the sound up and down trying to hear what she was saying. Replayed what she was saying a few times trying to catch things.

@@chasingtheAmericanDream That is a gross stereotype about Ajijic. I have a new (when I moved in 3.5 years ago) 1 bed 1.5 bath apartment with two terraces and a fabulous view...furniture (I provide furnishings), all utilities incl wi-fi...great neighbors and I have everything I need within 3 blocks...$12,000 pesos/mo. I have friends who have a studio for $250US/mo. You can DEFINITELY find less expensive places in Ajijic.

@@kaydavis4241 yes, that is very true. In our experience we've seen some of those places but notice that a lot of those places are in more Mexican neighborhoods and leave people with a little less convenience but as you mentioned it is definitely possible. @@chasingtheAmericanDream LOL "Mexican neighborhoods"? I live in Mexico...every neighborhood is a Mexican neighborhood. "Less convenience"? Did you miss the part where I said everything I need to exist is within 3 blocks. Small hospital, my dog's vet, two small grocery stores, a bakery, Fed Ex, several restaurants, The Tel-Cel (phone) store, the largest mall in Ajijic...my doctor's office, the taxi stand, etc.
