I'm rather shocked at the Battlefront 2 Reddit's Negative reaction to our Revisiting "their" game. Corrections: I know that bots are in the game. In fact del at one point in our session complains about them, I defend them. That comment I made was from a previous session before we played with the bots. The squad system has been improved, I thought so, but Del said it was the same. It was 2 years ago and I've played hundreds of games in between sorry I didnt jump on his ass for being wrong instantly like you would have. As for whatever else reddit is now pissed about, I've no idea apparently I made the worst review on this game 2 years ago according to them (which is a 180 from what they said 2 years ago). Not sure what I did here to piss them off, especially since I'm talking positively about the game. I’ve been supporting the game for the past couple of years it’s been out, and honestly I didn’t see your review as that negative honestly. I’m aware of some of the setbacks this game has had because of EAs implementation where DICE had to correct in the coming months. It’s no shock that this game could’ve been a lot greater if it weren’t for EA, but that’s the reality and you gotta review it as it is. But I thought your outlook was pretty positive imo so im glad that you decided to come back to this game at least.

I thought you were pretty balanced here, pointing out both good things that have improved and the bad things (like bugs) that still need to be improved/fixed. You are coming from the perspective of someone who hasn't played since launch, just jumping back in now, so you aren't as knowledgeable as every minute detail in the game and what has changed. The Reddit BF2 community is probably mostly coming from the perspective of people who have been playing the game for months or even since launch. They know more about how the game has evolved since launch, and I think they were just hoping for more of that perspective in your video. I'm sure you could have spent more time and been more detailed and made a 45-minute re-review. But that wasn't the approach you took. And hey, that's okay. Someone in the Reddit thread said that Cleanprincegaming made a more in-depth re-review, and so apparently that is out there if people want it. But most of the people who might be considering getting into the game for the first time will probably benefit from seeing your re-review here and seeing first impressions from someone who is just jumping back into the game now.

Make this a series! Revisit No Mans Sky, revisit Elder Scrolls Online, etc

I hated the game until dec 2019, I picked it up for 15$ and thought it was great, the way joe uses heros is laughable, and while the saber combat isn't that deep in 2 I find it funny how he complained about it in the first game and then just spams attack like a chicken with it's head cut off 😂

Keep in mind, they are playing on PC. The player count on PC is lower than consoles. So don't be discouraged, this game is very much alive on both consoles.

Progress Enhancements

Been playing this on PS4 for the past year and its honestly one of my favorite games ever. From the environment, to the sounds of blasters flying past you, down to the screams of clones. Nothing really compares to when you're knee deep in shit trying to capture an objective, when all of a sudden your hear a lightsaber in the distant and see a hero come save your ass. The game does a really great job making you feel as if your just a solider in a galactic war. I insist you try this game out. You wont be disappointed.

I'm really glad you revisited this game. It's come a long way since launch and I love this game even though it's by EA. I really hope more people start playing this game again so the developers have more reason to keep adding content

@@baddog9188 I doubt you even have played it recently. The game is actually quite deep now, but because it is a sandbox it isn't going to tell you everything you can do once you start up the game. You are suppose to discover and learn things on your own. There is so much to do that it can be quite overwhelming. Multiple story lines, multiplayer, base building, missions, combat, trading, freightors, and much more. The hate bandwagon is no more.

Joseph Joe I was one of the suckers that pre ordered it. I played it again about a month ago. Lots of new stuff to do, for sure, but all of it still boring and in no way shape or form “fun”.

I really liked this Joe, maybe during these dry periods of the year where no new games are coming out you could do these revisits and see how much a game has improved/got worse or it just stayed the way it was at launch. Looking forward to more of this, and i think it would be an awesome add on to the channel.

Battlefront 3 would need Galactic Conquest for me to even consider getting it.

Thank you for doing this, Joe. At this point EA isn't even really earning money with this game anymore. But the amount of effort, blood and passion the devs of Dice put into this is amazing. This is as much Star Wars as it gets. You should really try Geonosis Galactic Assault though. Most cinematic gameplay I've ever experienced.

Dont do it. Every friend i knew who enlisted and shipped out came back fucked up and constantly feel like their occupancy of the middle east was a lie. Many of them suffer from moral injury because of it. And dont even get me started on how the gov will just throw you away when theyre done using you. I enjoy how all the builds of each hero is pretty balanced,I find each them bouncy and fun to play with. Its really cool how their abilities reflect the charecter's real fighting style, and they work best played like that fighting technique . For example, Anikin plays agressive, dealing splash damage, destroying groups but his tendancy to lose himself in the center of combat dying from overwhelming damage, while Obi Wan is defesvive and requires a more passive style who can strike with the right timing. The charecters are really well designed.

In my experience Battlefront II EA is much better on console, just throwing that out there. A bummer that pc is not doing that great in comparison

@@treymagathan847 at this point, the game IS complete, and they're actually just adding new content, instead of fixing the mess it was at launch. The game is definitely better than the 2005 Battlefront (I've actually played both, unlike you).

Who cares? They've been adding content to this game for two years, whereas the developers of OG SWBFII had no chance of adding content additionally ( on consoles at least) and that game is STILL vastly superior.

Matchmaking is fine on console, it's actually pretty fun. Granted I did pick it up on sale for like 8 bucks

I really like the idea of you revisiting these "live-service" (read constantly drip-fed updates) games after a year or two to see if they've actually stuck to their roadmap and/or made the game much better or worse; please do more of these!

I am playing some Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 on PS3 and I always die around corners no matter if the server's in Europe or NA. It's probably something with frostbite engine because it can't be a coincidence in every DICE game.

Some games do get better with time so a revisit series would be great. I love your reviews, always firm but fair.

@@Gavin1204226 I play on Xbox and there are plenty of people that still play surprisingly! I was able to queue for Heroes Vs. Villans at 11:00pm central with my pals for some late night play and recording sessions. I especially love the Supremacy game mode now. Conquest basically, but that's what I love playing more and more.

Yeah there are bots to make the match a 32v32 match instead of 20v20 so that the games can be more intense. Another reason they added bots in capital supremacy so it can be easier for you to grind those weapons and attachments.

The DICE Development team working on this game are phenomenal. They’re always listening and engaging with the community, probably one of the best team’s I’ve seen. The game is very enjoyable now too.

Finnegan Newcomb it’s not just adding things. It’s basically a different game now. It deserves a re-launch. That would really boost its player base

I started playing AGAIN since they added the ARCs and Commando Droids. I’m loving it so far

as a dice dev i will say this game has come along way and whilst not perfect it has become a great game with a great community

you need to do this for a lot of games, like ESO, No mans sky, Guild wars 2

If you're on a console I can't recommend it enough. It really is alot of fun, just don't expect content to come pouring out new every month.

Joe, you got so excited when you fought Grievous that I know you should try Heroes vs Villains! Its right up your alley and you can play as Prequel or Original Trilogy characters!

I just jumped on too and I'm glad to see that all the new heroes and maps are accessible without buying or unlocking! I really hope the next game lets you mix and match battles. I can't be the only one that wants to have the Stormtroopers fight Clonetroopers on a sequel trilogy stage!

I bought this on Xbox for $6 earlier this year and I will say it was worth it.

Yeah I'd actually buy this game for 6 bucks. I'm a PC player and was very opposed to this game when it came out. The beta was fun but I wouldn't support the game for the anti consumer practices of EA. At 5-8 bucks I'd buy it though if it's still active

This game has become phenomenal. It honestly almost holds up to the original in my opinion (and I still play the original) Plus in the coming months it will be even better. I just hope they keep releasing content into 2020 because we still need kenobi, Mandalorian, and clone wars season 7, plus the OT and sequel trilogy and more offline content to keep this game alive for years to come. This game really isn't as dead and a disaster as people still say it is (now).

Launch player never stopped . Awesome game. Loot boxes removed at official launch date 11 17 2019.

I’ve been playing this on PS4 for a month now and I find matches really easily, even in the Ewok hint mode. The game is also always on sale on PS4 and EA access launched recently on PS4 so numbers are really good right now.

Yea, I've been hoping once or twice a month since it released because of the lack of content however not from a lack of finding games. Games on Xbox one are easy to find. I have both systems but have it on the one. It definitely gotten alot better!

I’ve definitely noticed that on ps4 the game is still alive. It’s the same for tf2.

I bought it for 5 dollars which is a more than fair price, I found it underwhelming though. Glad I waited for the big price drop.

You got me to retry this game and while it's still not perfect, they made some improvements. My favorite things they included were the many of the clone battalions and new units like ARC troopers, commando droids, and droidekas. Hopefully, I'll stick with the game long enough to try the clone commandos when they come September.

Should do the same for "no man sky" it's way different now
