Personally, I think the baby should be able to decide when he gets older. I saw someone comparing a surgery to your genitals to the baby picking its own name, which is kinda stupid, to be honest. If the child's life isn't on the line, then there shouldn't be any surgeries performed that might cause difficulties in it. And people might say that it'll be easier for him to wash himself, but the basics of washing yourself should not be a struggle unless you have something preventing you from washing youself, such as a disability, poor access to clean water and hygiene products and so on. Doing this because of a religious belief is more understandable, but the dad said that he wasn't really 100% on to the idea, meaning that it's not a "must" at least not at the age of not being able to speak, eat or walk by yourself. Anyway, I hope the couple can agree in the end and respect each others opinions while considering their son in to the conversation.

able to find very biased medical stuff just because it looks official. Just because he does not like the comparison to FGM.. Doesn't mean the comparisons are wrong
