Rashid Khan sahib is outstanding. His depth and thahrao (holding on to the notes with ease and poise) is just extraordinary. They are two different artists. The jugalbandi didn't work.

I saw Ustad Rashid Khan Ji in Toronto Canada when he was just starting his international exposure. He was only in his mid 20s. I had a conversation with him, he was so humble and kind and a bit shy at the time. We talked about Raga Puriya Dhanashri that he sang. I asked him where they were going next and he humbly said “ Back to Puna” . We shook hands and he left. I was lucky to have met him. R.I.P.

Mr. Rahat is Lucky that NFK trained him from very chilhood. Actually NFK had no alternative interms of silsila. But Mr. Rahat has no voice melody. His voice is thin, wetless and depthless. Ustad Rashid is a legend. His voice is deep, strong, melodious, poetic, passionate and soothing. Mr. Rahat shouldn't dared to perform with Ustad Rashid ji. Love for Ustad Rashid khan ji❤🧡❤

Is just a difference in genre. I am sure rashid would also feeel out of depths if made to sing qawwali. Both are great singers.
I realized today as to how much,I am blessed.Indeed,I am because God has kept me alive as I am 71years of age,so I can listen this masterpiece,out of the world jugalbani by two unparalleled giants.Ustad Rashid and Ustad That Fateh Ali.God bless both of them abundantly.Amen.

Rashid Khan sahib is outstanding. His depth and thahrao (holding on to the notes with ease and poise) is just extraordinary. They are two different artists. The jugalbandi didn't work.

I saw Ustad Rashid Khan Ji in Toronto Canada when he was just starting his international exposure. He was only in his mid 20s. I had a conversation with him, he was so humble and kind and a bit shy at the time. We talked about Raga Puriya Dhanashri that he sang. I asked him where they were going next and he humbly said “ Back to Puna” . We shook hands and he left. I was lucky to have met him. R.I.P.
Jugalbandi has helped me understand the depth of music rendered by Ustad Rashid khan. There is no comparison at all.

Mr. Rahat is Lucky that NFK trained him from very chilhood. Actually NFK had no alternative interms of silsila. But Mr. Rahat has no voice melody. His voice is thin, wetless and depthless.
