This was made back when tv was worth watching. Hell of a show. RIP Dominic Santini and Airwolf. You both are missed.

Stupid question, but did they ever explain how the hell they kept Airwolf fueled and stocked with ammo? I mean the intro said Airwolf was stolen and being hidden from the military. It's not like he could just land at a 76 station and load up on regular or unleaded. The ammunition, sadly, I can accept all too well. After all, we've seen plenty of militias and terrorists (sorry, "gunmen") acquire their own stockpiles of ammo in real life, and I'm pretty sure they didn't have the resources to build a secret helicopter base.

AirWolf was fueled and armed by the F.I.R.M. via Hawk and Santini. Although the F.I.R.M. did not know where AirWolf was they secretly supported Hawk as long as he flew missions for them. The armament was secretly shipped to Santini Air. Hawk and Dom would either fly AirWolf there or bring the armament to AirWolf in the cover of darkness. Don't forget AirWolf was skinned with the same material as our stealth fighter and bombers reducing its radar signature. I know it is a little far fetched, but it was a great show.

Brian Fowler Archangel was secretly helping Hawk and Dominic, in exchange for them flying on missions for him. The military wanted Airwolf back, but Archangel had connections and he got the government to kind of look the other way.

Does anyone know if Jan Michael Vincent can actually play the Cello for real or not, coz when ever they did the scenes where Stringfellow Hawk is looking all moody and he's sitting at his wooden cabin , goodness knows where, playing the bejaysus out of the ol thing you never really see him properly connect with the instrument 🎸 the way a pro does?

Mongo Boogie in reality jmv loves classical music & at one time was well versed in playing the cello. But I doubt he can play anymore due to his health issues
