Can you have AirTags on multiple phones with different Apple ID, for example mine and my wife’s……thanks

To reset the AirTag you do not need to put the back on again five times. All you need to do is take out the battery, then press it back into device, taking it out and pressing it back again five times in succession, hearing a beep each time, until you hear the special beep. If you've been fumbling around with the battery, the AirTag may not recognize your first intentional beeps as the beginning of a sequence. If the fifth one doesn't work, just do another one or two. If you need to restart the sequence just pause a few extra seconds, then start again. 🖖

If you remove the AirTag to give it to someone else can you the install it back to your phone when needed

Thanks this was useful, even though I don’t have an airtag yet, I’m gonna buy one soon, but can if pair to the iPhone X or is it just for the iPhone 12 mini and above?

9:20 so if someone finds my AirTag all he has to do is to reboot it 5 times? Or the lost option blocking it?

I think it is important to note that if you replace or get a new phone you need to remove tit from you old phone. Then follow the setup on your new phone! If you don’t I found that you can’t reuse the tag! You’ll need a new air tag. Also be aware that these devices do not transition to the new phone and there is no warning or notification either!

Everything about the AirTag is great except…it’s only really loud sitting out unobstructed…I use it in my car…placed or in a butane can lid which has a bunch of holes in the top…u can barely hear it…But if ur using it for a car then the sound is kinda irrelevant…like u will barely hear it in day a suitcase or full backpack unless it’s completely silent perhaps

Your IPhone dosent have a u1 chip which is for precise location that only exists from iPhone 11 and beyond.

You never showed how to use find my to locate an AirTag that is missing from you. If someone walks off with my bag/AirTag how do I find it or them?

Why didn’t they just use the Apple Watch charger

You would only get a week or so with a rechargeable battery that size tendering the tag useless until you recharge it.

You know it might be better to start a "Complete Beginners' Guide" with a little summary of what an AIrtag is, and what it does. You might be saying to yourself " Well everybody knows that you dummy!" ...my answer to you is NO, not if you're a "Complete Beginner" . I'm an older person and recently got given one of these things with a new MacBook Air, but after sitting through a bunch of these crappy "beginner" videos I find out it's completely useless to me as I don't have an iPhone ( I use an Android ) and it doesn't work with a 2023 MacBook Aiir. ( Or so ChatGPT tells me ), and it can't even be used to track my cat, which is what I thought I might use it for. ...Yes I know, I'm "such a hater!" Jeeez!
