As a locksmith, the proven lock with a Medeco core is the way to go. Picking the lock is the easiest way to remove it. Medeco’s are very tough to pick.

@@LandingZoneHome I'm something of a security expert with 27 years on the city of San Diego police department. But tell me why doesn't AS have any onboard generators. My neighbor is poised to buy an AS so I really am "asking for a friend".

@@burtvhulberthyhbn7583 Burt it is pretty much a total Travel Trailer standard not to have a generator. Don't have a scientific answer but I think it is lack of space. Unlike motorhomes and 5th wheels, travel trailers do not have a basement therefore greatly reduced storage space. Sorry but that the best answer I could come up with. Great city San Diego, thanks for your service.

Hello Sir, an optional security feature, if you have an iPhone, is to install some Airtags inside the airstream. So you can track down where is your RV. Everybody should check out those Airtags, pretty interesting.

Yes, you must get one that fits your specific hitch coupler. I have a 2020 Flying Cloud with the Demco coupler and I have lock model Model 2516-E. In the commend of my video I have a phone number where you can call Proven Locks and they will provide the correct model number for your Airstream. Thanks for watching.

When I was a kid (1961) our family took a vacation in an Airstream and my Dad borrowed a Hand Gun from a friend for security. We didn't know he did this until years later and fortunately we didn't need it. Today, however the danger is even more. WE don't have a Hand Gun now but have thought about it for several years. I wonder how many RV's, (normal people) travel with some type of protection?

In California an RV is typified as a "house car" oddly enough. You are allowed firearms for protection in your RV. That doesn't mean you can "leave a place of safety" and run after fleeing suspects with your gun.

Excellent video sir. Would you mind if I ask you a question. I’ve heard airstreams leak. Is this true. I have a problem with paying a very high price for an airstream KNOWING that it’s gonna leak. I just can’t grasp that.

There are still Airstreams on the road built in the 40s and 50s unlike wood framed/plywood roofed RV that just can't last much over a couple of decades even when maintained properly. But like any model an Airstream can leak if the caulk and gaskets are not maintained; I've never had a issue with leaks. Check the market and you'll see the AS holds it value like no other make and that is part of why the price is higher. Thanks for watching my video.

We tow a 2020 Flying Cloud 27’ Front Bed Twin with a 2019 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4 FX4 with the 3.5L ecoBoost engine / 10-speed transmission with the Max Trailer Tow Package. We use a ProPride 3P-1400 to connect them together. When the truck (TV) and trailer (TT) are loaded for travel with the weight distribution bars set, we are at the GVWR of the TV, but below all other ratings (all axles, GVWR for TT, and GCWR for TV). The combination handles extremely well and the engine/transmission combination is amazing.
