I just started watching him recently because every time something caught my eye in the recommended it was one of his videos. He talks constantly and is so much louder than the game. But, it's not that big of a deal.

@@Dethmeister Oh I like him. It's just funny sometimes when he mentions something like a game should tell him how to do x, then the game addresses it and he doesn't notice.

Ah, flying ships are the second best of flying things...flying whales are of course number one.

Hm, I've played a really cool game on the Amiga 500 back in the day called 'Whale's Voyage'. It was an RPG / dungeon crawler about the crew of a spaceship named 'Whale', which also looked like a whale. A whale-ship that flies, in space. Best of all worlds. Also, a really nice name for a game like this, if you ask me. I remember that I immediately loved that ship and felt very attached to it right from the start and that I _really_ took it personal if someone damaged it. :D Hey, even found a video with the intro for Whale's Voyage 2, the first one had no real intro. Bruh. I'm sold on the title screen alone. Edit: damn this was an entertaining vid, 1080 degree no scope missles, campy french voice acting, sky sailor songs, and of course the 10x wiggle waggle maneuver.

90% of the time I jump to Steam to wishlist a game while Splatt is still doing the intro and description, Splatt has cost my wallet heavily and kept my wishlist full

Seems interesting. Surprisingly we don't see that many pirate naval battle games, and I'm down for the sky pirate variation. Reminds me of Sunless Sea, but with 90% less novel reading.

it would be cool if enemies tried to bail with the loot and were trying to hang on (with maybe some falling?). It makes sense, especially if the ship was going down anyway. then you could take them as hostages or crew.

feels a lot like treasure planet battle at procyon, one of my personal favorites games

An open world airship commerce piracy game has been on my list forever I’ll definitely be checking this out.

This looks like it might be my jam.

This game remembers me to the planet of the treasure game based on the movie in the early 2000's I had a lot of fun with that game.

I did the swashbuckling aspect of this game. It seems fun without taking itself too seriously.

This is the closest thing I've seen to Stratosphere Conquest of the Skies in a long time.

@@theZenny It's abandonware now, found the download for it a while back if you're feeling nostalgic and want to fight to get it to run.

I'm glad the English voice actors improvised their lines where necessary, because if you read the actual dialogue you'll see it's all kinds of broken.

Not sure how many remember this game but I'm getting Starfury vibes from this.

That last pirate had anti-rocket guns. He was shooting your rockets out of the sky.

Those AIM-9s worked out well.

This is a cool concept. It's like playing Silkroad Online again, but this time.. in a flying boat. 😂

This looks really cool. But I think that it could be better if you could control the ships altitude. It could be a good way provide obstacles and limit the players mobility while in combat so that you aren't constantly flying in circles. It could also be a way to naturally limit where the player could go by having mountains that are too tall to fly over so they must travel through a ravine instead. Weight could be a good way to affect altitude as well, the heavier a ship is the lower its max altitude is and the slower it would be able to change altitude as well which would drastically affect how it can navigate around the world or fight other ships.

So the elf lady has assigned us an assistant and then assigned him an observer. But who will watch the observer?!

In BfG best faction for ramming is Orkz, they literally have ship desinged to do just that! The lovely little Brute Ramship.

I always find it funny how so many Anglos don’t understand what Teutonic means and is and just put it in completely to our world unrelated games. One thing I do wish is that I like airships that fit a slightly more dieselpunk scenario where metal is the predominant construction material rather than the tall/wooden ship designs.
