I am not kidding.. the security search sometimes seems ridiculous in the US. My husband is Indian and when he visited US, with a couple of others on an work visit, he was just one person behind the others and the other two completed their check and were just waiting for my husband to complete the check but they did the check for so long that the other two could board the flight and they did not let my husband board the flight.. the other two had to leave my husband behind and board.. and all my husband was carrying was a laptop bag and wearing a suit..

if it were a man doing this to another man, i'm sure you could make the case that would be homophobic. however you spin it, it's just the least offensive to have a woman do it to a man. also it subverts power dynamics and subverting expectations is part of comedy so it's funnier too.
