See his last two releases raksha bandhan and ram setu if you haven't watched these two then it's your mistake coz akshay is still great at choosing scripts

Especially after russian Ukrainian war
In those times Indian government was not that powerful and hence the evacuation was so difficult. In today's times India has become very powerful the examples are evacuation of Indians from China during covid outbreak, evacuation of Indians from Afganistan where even Americans found it difficult to evacuate and very recently during Russia-Ukraine conflict where India has helped even other country citizens to evacuate.

On of the finest movie that shows the versatility of Akshay Kumar . Earlier i was his fan for his comedy movies But after watching AIRLIFT i realised why he is known for his Versatility .❤️✨

My dad was in Kuwait when this happened. He said that the movie was great but the atrocities against Indians by the Iraqis were over exaggerated. The problem makers were this youth who weren't exactly soldiers but were recruited just to wreak havoc without any sense. In fact, he apparently met some really nice Iraqis during the evacuation. A couple of Iraqi policemen apparently cautioned my dad to take another route as some of these youth, these ruffians were laying waste in other parts. Undoubtedly, many Indians would have been injured or even would've died during the war because they were caught in the crossfire. Targeted attacks against Indians, that too with extreme animosity was very, very rare. This was greatly due to the amicable relationship that India and Iraq had back then.

Best movie of Akshay Kumar PERIOD.
The actor that did the role of Iraqi major did such a great job. His accent, his expressions and his body language were just so perfectly matching.
My mom, uncle and grandmother were in Kuwait and had to be evacuated. She never really spoke about it in detail but watching this movie really showed us what she went through. It's so sad.
This is the movie I used as reference as a NRI in Pune to tell people in college where I'm from. 'No Not Dubai, its not a country. Kuwait! Have you seen airlift?' 😂 And yes My parents were in Kuwait during the invasion and went through this! Ofc this is dramatised for cinematic effect but most of it is true.

@@alankarkhare12 we got out through the convoys . Traveled by road to Jordan ....took a flight from there. Spent some time in the camps. Took around a little over a week.

I was in class 5th when I saw this movie in Hyderabad, after that I watched mission Mangal in kota while I was in class 8, but watched more than 10 movies in theatre in last 1 years( Now in class 11😅) and also going to theatre on 11th November (guess for what). Also why are you being rude 😂

Being rude is the new cool it seems. My first movie in cinema hall was when I was 17 years old. That was delhi belly in 2011. After that I stepped into cinema hall only 5 times till now. 😁😁😁

It was India's good relationship with Iraqi government and Toyota Sunny's local connections that saved those 100k+ Indian labourers. The fact that Air India and Indian Airlines were owned and operated by Indian Government helped in the process of providing free transport. Everything else in this movie, such as saviour Ranjit Katiyal (a nonexistent Punjabi), nonexistent rapist Iraqi soldiers, nonexistent psychotic Iraqi General, etc. were simply added to make Akshay Kumar look good!
