It's a shame you only had a limited time in Airlie Beach. As nice as it is, the real beauty is in the Reef and many Islands. We're looking forward to you video from Cairns. Thanks again for posting these videos, they are brilliant.

Black Cockatoos can be a sign of rain. I have them in the bush near my home and if they do their laps it usually means rain is on the way.

The “bird you haven’t seen” is a Masked Lapwing, or commonly just called a plover. They nest on the ground and will defend their nests viciously if you go nearby!

Another perfect outfit selection. ❤ Even though you couldnt get to the reef, you still had a wonderful day and you've taught me something. I never even knew we had black cockies!! The lagoon looked lovely for a little dip too. ❤ your favourite Aussie follower 🦘🦘

Ah happy memories - it's changed a lot since I was there in 1992 - and the prices of the trips! wowsers! I had to laugh when you said it was so quiet and peaceful - it used to be (maybe still is) peak backpacker town and was full of noisy youngsters having a huge amount of fun 😄. We did a bare boat charter - a sailing yacht with skipper provided and we provisioned it - 3 days and nights sailing around the islands and having more fun than is considered sensible these days. Enjoy your cruise up to Cairns - looking forward to it!

I never knew about the jellyfish there. Black cocatoos are so pretty. I love all your videos so fun and educational. We were thinking of booking an Australian cruise for 2026.

The Tuk Tuk electric bike was fantastic. She stopped and talked about a lot of the places. It’s a hidden gem that’s for sure, with the exception of not being able to swim in the sea from May to Oct..

Australia has over 8000 islands including Tasmania. I hope you get a chance to get there. Cairns, unfortunately is not worth talking about and has no redeeming features. It can rain a lot, has dirty brown muddy beaches and the stingers of course. The only thing going for Cairns is that it is close to Kuranda up in the mountains. I'd take the chance to do the train ride up the mountain to Kuranda if you have the time. it's a great little trip (not long) and the township is very quaint! Enjoy your travels from Cronulla, Sydney. 👋

As I sit here in my North Carolina mountain home with a 9 degree wind chill this morning, you have blessed me with a little slice of heaven. This is one of the most beautiful areas you have visited. I can't imagine what a luxury it would be to live there. I also love seeing the cockatoos and birds. BTW, what a cute dress you're wearing! The dresses in the shop you stopped at were lovely. How do you abstain from making purchases every where you go? Looking forward to your next video.

I show my favorite store in our Bali video Ep. 41, check it out. Some people come on the cruise with 5 suitcases, I came with 1 and I will leave with 3. Shopping around the world for unique outfits is a lot of fun.

Nice video. Last time when sailing from Sydney to Singapore we missed Airlie Beach and Cairns due to weather. It was nice to see. A little steep for a Rickshaw ride for an hour ($100) but i guess you saw things you wouldn't have seen on foot.

Hi there. Just found your page and excited to explore! First, your dress is beautiful! Any tip on where to shop? Second, I looked at your vast video library and saw a couple stores near me and wonder where you two are from? I saw Bellevue and Seattle somewhere on your page and am just curious. Anyway, I'm digging in and getting familiar with your travels. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm Pam, and I moved to the Skagit Valley in Washington State a couple years ago to retire, enjoy family and now have been starting my cruise journeys. Back to watching!
