I was cackling at the cow jumping when you moved😂 it mustve been so confused
Matt Manning has to be one of the best airrifle hunters of all time... He's definitely a British legend when it comes to hunting with air rifles and just seems like a all round decent person

I actually enjoy this more than the shooting show. The host is just so much more natural. Feels like he's just talking about him and what he loves. Doesn't feel scripted or anything at all. I don't even shoot air guns! Thanks for the great content. Please keep it coming.

Agreed. I'm afraid I'm off the shooting show too. However he comes across well in this documentary. Very informative and nicely filmed. Thanks
Haha, I was about to comment that if your camouflage is too good, the cows might walk on you XD

Michael Martin For some reason they tend not to walk on you. The biggest issue with cows in the field is knowing there is poop in places so be careful where you are lol.

Well presented and gives good explanation of the craft. It explains the need for camo and that air gunners aren't wannabe Rambos!
I really enjoyed that mate, personally I love sitting in a coppice waiting on a couple of plump wood pigeons to arrive.I think most people miss what airgun hunting is all about. For me its about being out in the forrest, wind blowing, trees creeking and that sense of peace I get being out there.

@MJB 112 yes. Just ask your local farmers.

@@lmaoroflcopter You say this like most UK farmers are agreeable folk...I've had them call the police on me for going down a public road I had right of way on...Seems the time off local nice farmers has been replaced with the corporate farming entities. Least where I live now... any hits on how to approach them and ask for permission?
@lmaoroflcopter

@@MichaelGallagher97 walk up to their farm, knock on the door, and ask. Don't act entitled or be a dick about it, they're busy and they are often concerned with their crops and their livestock, if they don't think you look trustworthy they'll not take you on. Equally they may already have given someone else permission, however if you catch that person you may be able to negotiate access with them. You will however be expected to turn up. The farmer needs the things taken care of. If you don't bother going every week, he'll be telling you to naff off. Oh and almost all farmers are agreeable folk. Maybe start out the asking without the weird bias against farmers.
great video, I'm new to air gunning so clips like this are really useful. I'm using a .22 Hatsan 60s - a nice springer, FAC rated at 18.57 ft/lb. So please more like this is really helpful.
I always thought the Brits made damn good airguns. I had a BSA "Mercury" and had much enjoyment with it. and a well made video as well!

Now... This is a lovely video. Well explained and executed. Well done!
Lovely filming and production, and Matt nails it in terms of what it's about. Going for a wee stalk with a spring-powered air rifle, communion with nature, listening, watching and learning, and if your timing is right, coming home with a couple of fresh rabbits or woodies, is shooting heaven.
Fantastic video ! love all your work with Airguns, Ace !
We need more new vids like this as air gunning is getting bigger by the month, realy nice to watch
Another great video from BASC. Thank you.
Beautiful film ,thank you
Thanks I'll have a look. Great video !
Lovely film and great music.
Nicely done.
Your advice is appreciated & professional 👍 thanks
I enjoy your video and would really like to hunt. But i just cannot kill animals just trying to to survive. But yet i know that the bunnies will cause the farmer great problems and if not contained , Will cause there cattle to break legs and and transfare disease perhaps. I do not condem your sport for nessesity. I feel that some may get carried away and perhaps kill for sport continousley, perhaps shooting hundreds of birds from trees. That i find upsetting. But thank you for your well presented video and the knowledge you share. For the ever changing weather in this country and possibillity of food shortages that may arise. You never know if this sport may be a good way of putting food on the table. Besides, The targets i shoot taste awfull. But growing up within a rural village. I know how nice rabbit stew tastes and just how bitter hair,s are. Good vid. Thanx
Excellent great information, thanks
Great video, keep them coming
well done thx so much be well and safe mark
This video is iconic 🙌🏻.
Does anyone know who the music is credited to on the video? It’s beautiful.

Good video very well done and informative Keep up the good work. Thank you for not showing the actual kill, I love all animals but do understand the cull of rabbits and grey squirrels. PEACE :-)

That camo does work well - and challenging to film! Mat informs me It's an old Stormkloth jacket, which is no longer available. The English Woodland pattern, made by Jack Pyke, is quite similar but you may well find other brands that are just as good.
Nice bro
Nice hunting
The only real advantage over a .22lr integrally suppressed bolt gun is that a sub 12ft/lb air rifle is licence free (especially given the fact that super colibri deliver 11 ft/lb).

Speak to a local farmer, most will let you go shooting as you're doing them a favour. You just need to prove to them that you are sensible with your gun and humane with your shooting.
Nice one for the pot 👌👌
What gun and sight is that
I prefer the oratory presentation on this video, as opposed to Mat's more recent videos. His later style is too sort of tense and over emphatic. Nothing wrong with the video content just that change in presentation.
God! Is that a real village or a beautiful movie set. hah just attack of envy here.

what i dont like about airgun hunting videos is they have high power air rifle and bait and they just wait in their perfect camo suit. when i was kid most camo id get was dad or uncles old war jacket and green pants, then id walk with iron sighted airgun and hunt rabbits, pheasants and kill pests like some species of birds
