Maybe try and use an airbrush for a better finish if you can invest in one?

Airbrush :-) It really got me going when I got money to buy it at age 13, especially with metallic, yellow, red and white paints. Acrylic as well as oil. Though oil stinks... :-)

Dec. 28, 2022---Thanks for the video and your build looks great. I'm 69 and started building/collecting kits back in '74. And yeah, got LOTs of unbuilt kits. Currently got into realistic, 1/35 scale zombie/ apocalypse dioramas and having a blast. And using a lot of foul language in trying to convert military figures into civilians. Also bought 2 3D resin printers which I hope to start printing stuff next year. Also trying to learn CAD so I can draw/print stuff there are no kits of. But also, would like to add detail to a lot of my old kits, like this Airfix one. A better turret for example on the 26.

Hello from sunny Normandy.... First of all, get rid of the glue tube, and use Tamiya extra thin cement, you apply it with a brush and you get a more clean job on the assemblies. Then, try to pay attention to the seams, use some putty a,d sand it flush for a better look. Watch the tutorials for beginners on KZread, there are a lot of them around.

Thanks! I have actually started using extra thin cement since filming this and I am really liking how it goes on. I will definitely do some more research on filling seams to improve.

well done ! I would however encourage you not to use Tamiya paints as they are not optimal for brush painting. You should be trying acrylics paints such as Valejo.
