History: This helicopter was noted registered for air tests by Airbus Helicopters as D-HCBW in Bundeswehr paint scheme during May and June 2016.
Then registered to the Bundeswehr and is operated by the 4.FlgStff as 76+08 with Mode-S Code 3F9D55 in September 2016.
On Tuesday, August 29th, 2017, this helicopter was involved in an incident where it cut through a high voltage wire, necessitating an emergency landing near Sontheim Weisel and Ingerkingen, close to it's Laupheim base. The emergency landing took place on an open field at approximately 10:40 LT. Fortunately, neither of the two crew members on board sustained any personal injuries. The extent of damage to the helicopter was initially unclear, prompting further investigations. Subsequently, the helicopter was transported back to Laupheim by road on the following day.
In this video, helicopter #08 was used on February 16th, 2024, as a VIP shuttle to transport a high-ranking commander to the former German capital, Bonn, and therefore landed at Hangelar (EDKB).
