Today I am dealing with some Airbnb mayhem! My guests found a mouse in the house and now I have to figure out how to mouse proof the house. I fully cleaned ever square inch of the house to make sure my guests feel safe and comfortable.

Sticky traps would be good behind the couch
I have 2 Airbnb’s in Connecticut and a house in the country. Long story short, all houses have mice. They come in to get warm :) they like getting in through the chimney and sprays do NOT work. You buy these big black boxes with locks (with a key) and add slow release poison blocks (it looks like thick purple gelatin). The mice eat it and slowly go and lie down to die. We place them in attic and around perimeter of house. We spent $800 on a pest guy and that’s all that he did. Mice are a constant battle

Ok! Thank you so much for telling me this. Not that I wish mice in anybody’s home but it does makes me feel better to know it’s a common issue. I will get those boxes and put them around the house. Also - $800?!? Wow, I thought the guy who quoted $1000 was off his rocker.
