My 31 year Career as an Air Traffic Controller is rapidly winding down as I will age out in a few more weeks and will undergo mandatory retirement at age 56. I have seen it all in my career and would never second guess my decision to become a Controller. Every day is unique and rewarding . CDW, TEB, DCA, PCT

Thanks for the video! Here in my country ATC controllers of local airports do not have to know english, so when an English speaking pilot came to their frequency they don't know what to do, and other pilots on the frequency have to translate instructions between non-Spanish speaking pilots and local airports ATCs, is strange because for a private pilot to be controlled VFR approved he must know basic English ATC language, but to be a non-international airspace controller they only need to know the instructions on Spanish.

That scenario in Breaking Bad where an Ailr Traffic Controller gets depressed/distracted resulting in two planes colliding in the air.....that couldn't happen in reality, right? There must be safeguards to prevent one controllers error from having such impact right?

Your eyes have to be corrected to 20/20 with glasses or contacts
