Today I'm stepping into the world of home distilling.
The Air Still Pro is my first still. In this one, I'll go over its key features and show you how to set it up so you know what to expect if you decide to get one for yourself. I'll be honest, making spirits at home is some of the most fun I've had in a long time. It's quite possible I could be hooked on making plain old base spirits, as well as fancier drinks. Some "pro tips" I've learned over the years: Turbo Yeast was designed for making ethanol fuel FAST (i.e. stressed out yeast). It's not very good at making palatable spirits. You can clean the packing in place with a vinegar run. But foreshots & early heads (which you toss anyway) do that also. You can get "neutral-ish" in 1x distillation, but doing several stripping runs & then a spirit run will make it better. And since you're making beer already, do a sugarhead on the spent grains (~8 lbs/5 gal water). Makes a fine whiskey! Especially if you invert the sugar. I have a Franziskaner whiskey that is getting pretty phenomenol after only 6 months on oak.

cant wait to watch your vids of using it. Im a brewer myself and have been looking at getting this. At this stage i dont want a big setup to run with my brewzilla. Just hoping to make a bottle every now and then so this would be perfect
