Air raid siren - Blitz and Civil Defense full speed indoors - insane
Ғылым және технология
This is a late British Cold War siren made by Castle Castings.
These have 415 volt three phase electric motors, but by using a modified inverter I can run these from a 240 v single phase domectic socket.
The siren produces about 135 decibels....!
If you are intertested in owning one, please contact me at paul.j.lawrence@hotmail.com . I live in the UK but am prepared to ship at cost.
To use this video in a commercial player or in broadcasts, please email licensing@storyful.com

0:17 I've never been in any disasterous or particularly dangerous events in my life. I have never been anywhere at anytime where one of these sounded off for any reason. Yet it STILL somehow is a very unnerving sound to me... The twin alarms making a two-note sound. The gradual concordant rise in pitch... It's just dread and fear in raw sound form. I pray that i never find myself at one of those aforementioned places, at one of those aforementioned times....

One time I was at work, I am a like cook at a restaurant, and I went to the back, heard the sirens(for emergencies like an air raid they’d use the same sirens) and went there’s no way we don’t close rn there’s literally a tornado... guess what? We didn’t close and customers came in by the masses to get them some comfort food. Some bs😂

I can see this sound being used in a commercial for an energy drink when a person takes the first sip and then energy rush begins. Another way I can see this sound being used when a futuristic vehicle is starting their engines and then taking off at full speed.
