I got these in 3rd grade I'm 38 years old. I remember my mom bought me a pair and I wore them on my first day to school. The first day in art class, I dripped paint on the tongue and almost cried hahah. I've been a sneakerhead since birth!

Just wanna say I'm glad you took the time to tell people they don't need to buy everything. The sneaker market cooling has made it easier to cop great pairs, but that requires some restraint. After years of Ls on snkrs, it's hard to hold back lately 😅

I remember buying the original Olympic edition of these & the upper was nubuck, so smooooooth & broke in pretty quickly. I’m in my 40’s and have little nostalgia about shoes, this was my first Jordan’s. It’s also why I follow this channel….the shoes, the nerd-dom, your interaction with MrsWing. Keep it up guys!

I have been a member of your channel for years, I love how you speak the truth. You are correct, you do not need to buy every pair of shoes, but a lot of people get hooked on the idea watching KZreadrs thinking that they must buy those shoes. I recommend you to everyone who are new to the shoe game, because what you do is tell us about the shoe before it comes out. I don’t know how many times I’ve bought shoes based on just seeing them on a picture and been so disappointing, but I I use you exclusively when I want to make a good decision on the shoe. Another great video and that message at the end about just not buying everything was excellent. That's wisdom and sharing that with others is dope. It may seem obvious to some people, but we all need reminders about things every now and again.

I've got a 92 pair. The retro is pretty spot on with a few differences but not so much that it'll turn away og heads. I'm just glad they used nice/decent leather

Had the OGs in 1992, my first “good” shoe-they’re long gone now but I still have the box. I had to pay half because they cost way more than the $50 or so my mom would pay towards shoes back then. Another great video, can’t wait to get these!!

I have gave missed to all other retro in the past and got this retro as well. The last one similar was from the reflective championship pack. I am happy I finally got them as this color reminds me so much of 90s bulls color scheme, with Jordan crowning the second title with it, just show elegance and class. I'm late to finding this video but ill share my story with these. This is one of my favorite Jordan's in this colorway because they were the first pair of Jordan's I ever owned, I was gifted an og pair are as a baby. Sadly they wear stolen a few years back. Then when I saw them rereleasing I knew I had to get a pair, almost 30 years later and I'm reunited! 😊

As usual, another great overall video review. The Air Jordan VII 7 is one of my favorite models. Still have my original 1992 Cardinals. Definitely going to try to pick up this 2022 retro. Hopefully, two. But, Chris was on point with buying what you truly like and want. Not every damn thing that Jordan Brand releases. As that old line from "Star Wars" stated , which I like to use, "Stay on target!!"

7:53 life lesson here. For someone who has been into basketball and sneakers since 1995, even if I can afford all of them, I just like to look at them, and go on my day. I can only wear one pair at a time.

Surprisingly JD Sports over here in Tulsa, OK still has them despite being one of the colorways MJ wore on the court!

My first jordan shoes back in high school, these pair were a gift for Christmas on December ´92

Great video, I agree with the whole "You don't have to buy every shoe", I think I've only bought 5 pairs this year. Might try to get 2 more, the Travis Scott's black phantom and the Jordan 2's.

I like the upgrades the full length top loaded air unit makes tissue 10 times more comfortable. This is one of the most comfortable Jordans besides the 11s because of the upgrades.

Yo Chris, thanks for the review, I’m definitely ready for these again. Also, you might want to double check those tech specs for the midsole, because I’m 99.9% sure the full midsole has been phylon since at least 2006.

In his review of the Infrared 7s, Chris mentions that those midsoles are phylon. I was going through the comments to see if there was any update about the midsole on these. Thanks for clearing it up!

4:15 the mountain peaks are separate on the early retros. I just had to re-bond them on my 2002 playoffs/charcoal pair.👍

My all time favorites! Remember wanting these after my cousin flexed on me and my family was broke so they shot me down fast after asking for a pair. Fast forward to 2011 and after saving up my allowance for years copped these, now I got a good enough job I can double up on these!

The ‘06 Cardinals were the first pair of Js i bought w my own $ and i still have them. I had to get these early. It really feels like things are coming full circle with my collecting as a hobby i gotta say. I may go in a different direction starting next year and venture away from nike/ JB into some lesser known brands. Anyways, Great job on the review, as always.

The most underated original Jordan 7 colorway.

It’s so hard not to buy every retro Jordan that drops.. Especially if it’s not ugly . I really need to get better at that .. When it’s a OG retro it’s almost impossible 😢

Friggin AWWWWWWESOMMMMMEEEE!!!!! Only thing you missed was the weight of the shoe. Its heavier!! Almost certain its due to the denser foam used on the construction of the midsole!!! Happy Holiday to both of you and your family! 💪
