This airport to land in clear weather itself is frightening, it takes up almost 2000 metres of runway 10 to slow down. Just imagine a tired Captain Sathe at the 2nd attempt in the PITCH BLACK NIGHT if he landed a little ahead because of rain! No leeway at all! RIP Captain, this Landing even the best pilot would have faltered, which you were!

But this is the first crash happening calicut airport after 33 years of service. It's not a problem of runway.
