Hi Carol, you should give it a go. Spring is my favorite time of year, especially living here in the countryside. Its cold here today...I actually put a jumper on!! I'm busy working on making more insect plaques this evening to send of to my Patrons!... its a good job I like drawing! Michelle x

They look beautiful!!! I was thinking if someone is afraid of drawing they could probably stamp on these as well. There are some stamps that look like the old illustrations in pen and ink of flowers, bugs etc.

@@MinnieandMoore Michelle, I see that many women are afraid to try their hands on something new and are afraid to show their true talent by saying that they cannot draw but will stamp; it is sad as I am so certain that with a little practice, they would be fabulous. You are so right in what you say. My drawings seem to start out quite imperfect, then I just have faith and put my heart into it, then it seems to always turn out well. I strategy I use in life I guess!! x

@@MinnieandMoore Yes Michelle, it is called self-confidence. You view yourself doing it and you hand will follow your vision in your mind's eye. It takes practice, but anyone can draw beautifully if just giving themselves a chance. Trust in yourself and your ability. xx

These are awesome but what isn’t awesome that you create. Lol I love this but I don’t have a lot of patience and every person I’ve seen use that air dry clay said you needed to work quickly. I use my cooling racks almost exclusively during the holidays. I love nature things for decor. I’ve been collecting some things to decorate my new plant grow room that I use to start all my vegetable and flower seedlings in. I’m glad you didn’t gloss them. It’s amazing what you created with a package of clay and a sharpie. Hope I’m in the group of patrons who get one of these. I hope you and your kids as well as Minnie are all doing well. Take care!

Hello Tawana, sorry for the late reply. My children went back to school today after there summer holidays, so now I can get caught up! I'm so jealous that you have a grow room! Your pieces came out beautifully! Though you mentioned wanting to leave the matte look, wouldn’t it be advisable to apply a matte varnish to seal the pieces? What kind of mat do you have? The problem with the surface is that the clay can stick to it. Minnie is so cute and her eyes are adorable! Thank you!

Thank you for your comment. It's been a little while since I made the Insect tags so Im not sure what matt I used. I left them unglazed because I just prefer the matt look and didnt feel like they needed protecting, and years later they look exactly the same. I do however use a super matt finish spray if Im selling them in my shop. People often mention Minnies eyes, they look so human. Michelle :-)

These are fabulous! (the bee!!!) I was so sure these were stamps but you actually draw then! oO ! Oh I really want to make some now!! (but stamping them :D no way I can draw!)

Hi! Glad you like my insect plaques. It's really not that tricky if you draw it on with a pencil first. I've just spent the past few hours drawing bee's on plaques for my patrons as they've all said that's the one they like best! Thank you for your comment! Michelle x

I love your channel and Minnie. She’s so lovable. I want to use the air dry clay to make stems for my velvet pumpkins but I’m worried they’ll be too fragile and break. Is this material easy to break? Thanks!

I dont bn like bugs much but yours are beautiful.

Great drawings but by not sealing the work aren't they in danger of drawing moisture to the clay and crumbling? Could use a matt finish.

Hi Kellie, I moved into the town after splitting up with my husband. Its only 10 minutes away from where we lived, and we are still in the beautiful northumberland countryside. :-)
