Haha I’m not joking, that was actually the second time he asked. For the first 2 minutes I was out the back, I was just chatting to the neighbours to be polite and he came out and asked if I had already found the problem. Lol I hadn’t even taken the panel off.

Excelllent video. So well done. I have the exact same model which is currently faulty. Waiting on someone to come and look at it. In this case, I know the fault is on the board as we had a mouse In the cabinet and he chewed through a wire. Thanks

A/C units you guys have in Australia sure look different than the A/C units here in Canada, though this one looks close to what we have Here they are larger cabinets and the fan discharges from the top. Also the fans are metal bladed here with straight square blades usually three blades, sometimes 4 on the higher tonnage units and two blades on the very low tonnage units. Most here are single speed and stage. Thats also because we only need them 4 months out of the year here and they are connected to a ducted natural gas furnace, where in cool mode the outdoor unit comes on it also runs the blower fan only in the furnace to blow air across the evaporator mounted on top the furnace. In heat mode the outdoor unit never comes on, only the gas furnace runs with the gas burners lighting then the indoor fan blower comes on to push air across the heat exchanger to heat the home in winter, unless it is a heat pump ac unit, then it will run with the valve in reverse and furnace blower until it is too cold outside where the auxiliary heat mode comes on to turn the gas burner on in the furnace.

I’ve never installed one personally but I have fixed many. My opinion is the basic ones were absolute quality but the newer efficient ones are dog shit. Soft starters and ecm indoor fan motors are no good. Thanks mate
