I grew up with this sound as a kid. Nothing better than being at the beach all day. Going up to your room and taking a shower. Then turn the A/C down real cold. Slide under the crisp cold sheets and listen to air conditioning in a dark room. Out like a baby 👶...

So sorry to hear about your father. I hope he is doing better, and I hope you got some much-needed sleep. I was in the same situation with my mom a few years ago, so I understand how hard it is. Then to not be able to sleep on top of everything else that you’re stressing about. That’s actually when I discovered beauty of loud fans on KZread! Ear ringing is called tinnitus. If you only hear it when it's dead silent, consider yourself lucky. Some people hear their tinnitus constantly, all their life

@6079 Smith W White noise is different from a ringing, which is high-pitched. Believe me, it's hard to fall asleep to a high-pitched whistling. I like to have a fan running near me at night to create white noise because it does help to drown the sound

Colder weather here and the ac is off...but the dogs outside and street traffic and sirens outside are on and keep me from getting any sleep... this ac is a godsend!!! Thanks So Much!!!

This hits different when cuddled into a blanket and trapping yourself in it like a burrito.

When you always wanted an air conditioner, but all you can afford is its sound from YT...

Machines have a natural resonance that appeals to the subconscious.

Geez Louise! What is this, a window unit that’s next to the bed! All this needs is the muffled rattle of the compressor and my flashback of my 5 roommate 3 bedroom first year college apartment would be complete! Of course, Athens Georgia in the early eighties made everything alright...

I HAVE to use this and other sounds to sleep. Total silence SCREAMS at me...

Use this to sleep at night. Very noisy street in between two firehouses. This is a life saver.

When I was very young, I had to use a humidifier. It was placed next to my head on an end table. It sounded just like this. Ever since then, the more intense and deep and repetitive the sound is, the deeper I sleep. Thank you for providing this sleep aid for all us.

Yessss!!! I live in upstate ny and we use the window air conditioners and I literally leave mine in the window all year round even when it’s snowing! I also run a fan w the air conditioner once in a while. Now I don’t need anything but my phone or tablet thx to u🙏🥰

I’m in the UK after years living n the states. Homes don’t have ac here and boy do I miss it and most definitely the calming sound. The minute you hear it, it’s like meditation, it just stills the busy brain. Unrivalled to sleep to. Sad day when you grow up and it kicks on and you think about bills though. Enjoy without any of that guilt.

This beautiful video has become my go-to safe place when I’m having a panic attack. I’ve got a little lower back massager that I put on, roll on some lavender oil and I imagine I’m sitting on the end of that bed in this lovely room. I allow the anxiety to move through me, reminding myself that I’m safe, and It does the trick every time. There’s something about this room that’s so inviting and soothing and I love how cleansing the rain sounds. You can almost smell it.

i had slept with this for 6 hours then woke back up and fell back to sleep without this im definetley using this every night and u can also use it to track ur sleep by looking at what the time on vid is

How to when when u actually fell asleep??

There are sound machines of rather high quality available. I've purchased two over the years, and they really do help. My current machine has a selection of 11 different sounds, from rain to "cityscape at night". I also wear hearing aids specifically set up for tinnitus sufferers. I even sleep with them in. Otherwise, I'd just lie there and listen to the ringing, which in my case, is very, very high pitched, almost like a dog whistle.

I feel colder already, so imma chill out here for now.

Man, it’s like 1977. Been out playing but now it’s too hot. Sitting in a dark living room because the blinds are closed to keep out the heat. Thick carpet. Slowly getting cooler. Got some Kool Aid. Central air was for fancy places, we had this sound.

I just got on here to type the exact same thing. I kept trying to fall asleep and I here a “CLINK” minute or so.

I’ve always lived within close proximity to the coast , take advantage of nature’s air conditioning at night. This reminds me favorably of motel 6 as I transverse the southwestern desert .

I'm waiting for one of these videos to just have instant loud screams like 4 hours in to scare the shit out of people lol

I noticed something in the audio is almost appears pretty early on like maybe 2-5 mins in the sound of keys and someones voice can be heard, it could be just me but its happened about 3 times now.
