Thanks for making a great video, it was very informative. I bought a "top of the range" palm sander, it works real good and does a great job and it chews a lot of air. These days in Australia the specifications are in Litres /min. Those specs are meaningless to me, it may as well say peanuts per min. My guess is it puts out about 12 Cu Ft / min. Your video made a lot of sense as research into what works best with what is not conclusive - but you said it right there that saying air sanders are air, hungry, arms get tired and what's 2 minutes to fill up in the grand scheme of things, especially as we have a tonne of time at home on our hands right now anyway. My compressor FYI is 24L, 1.5 HP, 240V, 120 P.S.I. I'm not sure of it's CFM, it arrives tomorrow. The sander is like your one, and operates at 90 P.S.I. Think I'll be ok.

Great video. Got a question which would be better buy a air sander for polishing with a compressor or buying an electric polisher with a generator? For detailing purposes
@BIGDH2000
3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, this is a complicated question. Both the generator and the compressor are bulky items. If you already have one or need one in your van/truck, there is no need to buy the other. That being said, adjustable speed orbital air sanders are cheaper and easier to find. The electric ones tend to be one speed until you get pretty high up in price. Detailing requires a lot of different speeds depending on the project, plus it generally means water in the area. Less electrical wires near the water might be better.
