It's refreshing to see someone trying to help others to do something well. To share the satisfaction that can be experienced when you see that your efforts to apply what you have learned is rewarded. It's a noble pursuit and you are very good at it. Half the pleasure I get from watching your videos is simply recognizing the fact that you want to help others and share what you have learned.

Just came back to warships after a year away and couldn't do anything above Tier V for some reason. I am very thankful for your cruiser tip vids and this one so I can stay alive longer then 2 minutes and do over 50k damage.

@@marseldagistani1989 I got into a shouting match with the two cruisers that just sailed away as I was capping. Then after I died, I kept mocking them..."ok. You sailed away leaving your team's DD capping. So you must have a better plan. Let's see how that works out." Etc. Etc. Was funniest when other players started mocking them too. Every mistake discussed and criticised. Was pretty funny.

@@AceMoonshot Hell in my KGV I was focused faster then the Death star destroyed Alderan. I remember playing a Match in the Ring of fire map, an mam Did I manage to rack up 164 000 Damage and then was sunk, but not without killing the Sinop, Scharnhorst, and an Iowa

@tbull. As a thought in prep for T6. Would you consider doing 3 vids - one for each class. Rank the top three picks in each class and you recommended commanders. I think it would be beneficial to all your subscribers. Thanks for the consideration. Every vid you do is educational on how to better play the game.

I have had really bad luck lately with BBs, hitting a target for good damage. I do not know if there has been some developments in mechanics, but it is much harder to produce good damage salvos compared to couple of months ago. There are few exeptions - pyotr veljikii or peter the great is somehow a very accurate ship and imho the best BB tier for tier atm. Despite the long reload, i managed to one shot or dev strike ships with ease - even one-shot emily bertin (have this proof in my latest video at my channel). But in ranked - the reliable Arizona just over penned, shattered or deflected.

hey tbull can you make a video on how to lead ships doing turns? Like can you gather clips where you lead your target perfectly when it was hard to hit so that one could analyse that? Great videos love the content

Aah right didn't get this recticle as has no marks or numbers like pc version as pc has dynamic crosshair. Is there any mods to improve it?

AP tends to fly slightly faster than HE, so if anything it would be the other way around. Might have just been how the particular shots played out

This depends on the ship. Some ships guns have different shell weights between AP and HE. Some do not. Some have different muzzle velocities between HE and AP. Some do not. You have to know the individual ship. The information is in the game, but I don't recall where. However, keep in mind that aiming/leading error will often contribute more variability than gun statistics. Just be glad you don't have to account for roll, wind speed, and earth rotation.

Does it matter where on the ship you hit it

When I'm firing at ships that are mostly head on but angled, I miss 90% of my shots.

You need to use gun lock to stop them from moving, which is available by using controller preset 3

Also, I load up my Japanese commando with torp reloaded by 8% when I change my commander profile. But when I check the reload time in the ship overview it doesn’t change. Any thoughts?

Adding two 45° together for a Broadside is fine way to make a salty Cpt....Its Only when your able to add say a 30° to a 60° will you become.... ..A Naval Legend 🛶

So I've watch all your videos over the year, and while paying attention you told me how to hit ships out of view. Like over a mountain! Sometimes people need to listen to what's not being said.

Just a quick clarification, is that taget based on the center of the ship or the nose?

Do you have Hyde for a commander? If so, use him with a Hipper for inspiration.

Try and practice with it for a bit, and once you get the hang of it it doesn't require much thought

There are points on your reticle to make the aiming calculation easier. Each line is ~2 second shell Flight time. Practice in the Vs. Ai mode and work on your shots and when/where to fire your cannons and or practice to launches

What I need to know is how to hit citadels consistently

While I do love this game the camping is just getting ridiculous. I'm a rush kinda guy. (I almost honestly wish they had an open map where there was nothing but open seas) and when I see matches That end because the time runs out because everybody's just sitting behind mountains it pisses me off. I have aiming pretty down or so I think but I'll have times in a battleship where everything's heading straight towards The engine And everything lands in the water right next to it It will be a far distance but then hillfire and get a devastating strike on me it's so infuriating

I still just intuitively aim. I miss a fair bit. Especially if they use the wasd hack. Pretty embarrassing to have the team counting on me and I am shooting in front of a reversing ship. But I fully admit your method is much better. Good video.

Watch their smokestack. You can tell which direction the ship is traveling by which way their smoke is blowing. Practice in Vs. Ai mode to work on your shots and torp launches 👍

@@jokrhntr1351 I used to use AI to try to find citadel sweet spots on newly released ships. Especially at higher tiers were the service cost is high.

Try zooming twice at the ship and shoot just a little ahead of it. Works always! Also when using this method the aim will be at the back of the ship if it’s moving backward. Try it.

Target switching "usually" takes place automatically, when you aim at a particular ship for a second or two...but, when the ol' console decides that no, it isn't, or there's multiple overlapping targets in your field of view, you can select between the targets using (depends on which control preset you use) Left Stick on mine...

@@drommels2x773 Like Zap said, the game will usually auto target..however on account that it doesnt or targets begin overlapping, itll depend what preset controls you're using. I use preset 3 so I can lock my guns with left stick, and the target selection button is RB for me. Go into your settings and itll show you a map of the controls you use

Great vid for those that aren't up to speed. As a future thought could you do a video on team blue and team red, I've if a ship is the same colour, it is representative of being on the same team. Lately there seems to be a spate of morons who think blue on blue is funny!! Kin muppets!!!

this is a great game which rewards the win to the team who plays as a team ( helping each other ) if your a solo warrior don't play team based games pls. Go buff your dewey in non mm games.
