The movie is a self indulgent explosion of melodrama and i love it and i love aimee manns music.

Another of America's hugely underappreciated artists. Lyricist, musician, she and Lucinda Williams are treasures. This is a great DVD and you WILL watch it more than once!

one of those rare artists that can sing just as well live as is recorded in the studio..

I admire Aimee Mann more and more every time I see her. She's a graceful performer, creates tasteful and interesting arrangements, and this particular performance really hits its stride. Perfection.

Love this woman. From 'Til Tuesday to her heavenly solo work. The Magnolia soundtrack is one of the most heart-wrenching collection of songs and was such a huge part of the emotional impact of that marvellous film. She's a wonderful musician, songwriter and vocalist.

Magnolia is the most moving pieces of art I’ve ever experienced. And to your point, the more I think about it, the more I realize Aimee Mann’s music played an enormous part in my gratitude for the film.

America - you need to start to appreciate your national treasure pretty damn sharpish. Beautiful - moves me to tears every-time.

Perfect in every way. I love Aimee Mann, but many artists who perform live in concert disappoint-not her. She doesn't need the production/studio back-up that many need to sound as she delivers on her CD's. The movie (Magnolia), cast and soundtrack are great. Deep, complex, just like Aimee Mann, herself. Many Thanks for such good music over the years, Aimee!

@@Bijouxgum She has everything. Thoughtful, well constructed lyrics, and she can actually play extraordinarily well. I have a video of her performing "Save Me" from a few years ago at The Coach House. I should really put it up. She's fantastic live.

@@MaquiladoraIII It was an appropriate reply. I'm compiling playlists of my favorite music (notice that I did not write 'best music ever written'). My first list, named 'G Rates 10' has 80 tunes so far and the other list, 'G Rates 9' has 57 tunes. This song will never make it on either of those lists, so it is not even in the top 137 best songs ever written, according to me.

It's pretty amazing.

Sounds like just another great Aimee Mann cut. No complaints...she always puts out quality. One of my faves from the 80s and 90s. And obviously, she's still got it.

Just saw Aimee at the Boulder Theater. She was excellent!!

Woah what a performance! Best version I've seen. Gorgeous woman, if I was a teen in the 80's I would be suspiciously in all her shows back then 😍

How many bands out there do you know will play the song exactly like the soundtrack this is complete fire and if you don't know Aimee listen to The Buffy the Vampire Slayer soundtrack she absolutely demolishes that track and may I add she was also featured in one of the episodes I believe it was the last season ! what a legend the most importantly what a diamond artist

I like this song used to listen to this at the cinema I like to see her one day this song is a beautiful upbeat song it’s from the film Magnolia the male singer sings well with her. Reminds me of the song creatures lie here, but this song is a slow beat and can be used for funerals, farewell parties or saying goodbye to the ones you loved that had died before your time whether due to illnesses, war injuries or other unknown circumstances.

This is a song about every girl I dated in the 90's. I love Aimee Mann. The things she composes are so cutting, and insightful into the human condition. For a time I referred to myself in relationships as "Psychocandy". (Separate band, see the Jesus and Mary Chain for that). Aimee Mann is one of the best songwriters out there - and there are a lot. She will be held in very exclusive company in the future.
