    I learned this from my senior when I audition for my university dance crew: "if you can't control your hair, just tie it up". I used to have long hair like these girls and I don't know how to control it, so it always get all over the place, cover my face, super messy. I can't focus on dancing while keep fixing my hair. I was extremely nervous so it looks really clumsy and hard to watch. Since they gonna become idol, they need to practice how to control their hair Edit: I have watched some clips of the show, I guess the girls here is just home-training, they aren't trainee from company so they don't have proper train and no one teach them about that. And they seem so young too I'm shook. Much younger than girls who join Produce 101

    My teacher also said the same thing!! I'm not a professional dancer but I once participated in a dance competition between schools, my hair is thin and quickly limp so it's very annoying. I didn't tie it but cut it into a pixie cut, and until now I've never had long hair. LOL

    The hair issue is one of my pet peeves. If you're going to showcase your dance, have your hair (only if possible) tied up, braided or in a bun. It makes the performance neater and you can see the facial expressions clearly. ITZY is a good example as they often have more than 3 members with their hair tied up in their dance practice videos.

    The director of my dance academy always say tha it's ok to forgot dance moves but try to not look like you are lost in the choreograpy, and of course it's normal if you forgot your part sometimes but when it happen a lot of times is a big problem. Yes and no, girls need to manage how to dance with their hairs in their faces. ways to hold their head at certain angles to get it out of the face and get used to the feeling of it. When they debut, you can't choose your hairstyle and you can't constantly push it out of the way on shows, so they have to learn at some point

  • @MissyxAkunai

    @MissyxAkunai

    @@lacey8702 They don't have time to tie their hair. I think this was mentioned very briefly or in the full ep version, but these girls are training in a survival competition. They are about to hit the stage to showcase themselves to the world, they don't have the luxury of regular trainees to learn (if this were a normal dance class then it would be a lot different). Honestly if you compare it to PD101 series/GP999, Aiki is at least teaching them. She expects them to be at a specific level, especially since she's the one of the people who chose them. They have one to two weeks to learn this stuff, before their progress gets broadcasted and their individual cams get shared on YT or another online video platform. They won't have their hair tied up for that and even in future performances, they don't get a choice on how their hair is styled. Learn now or be eliminated essentially.

Essentially the point of the show is to showcase the behind the scenes of a celeb's life, ie travelling between gigs, setting up for events, etc... Maybe so, but she's already repenting her mistake, second guessing herself about whether she's eligible to teach classes or not. If she were being prideful and defensive, then that would be a different story. But she can't just stop doing her job just because of that one mistake. Being a professional is not just about being able to perfect the moves but to also learn from your mistakes and rectify them. Obviously if the students aren't doing it right, constructive criticism should definitely be given out. She's clearly being strict about it because she doesn't want her students to make the same mistakes as her in the future.
