Some of these ads make me feel really sorry. I'm a Christian but I am not disrespectful to different religions, sexualities, gender identities, races, etc. People often associate my religion with far right nationalism which I find very sad. Most of us don't want to hurt other people or get rid of them, we want to help those in need (or at least I do). God loves the LGBT community, just as he loves everyone. (Plus, it doesn't make sense for Christianity to be associated with the far right, as it revolves around a peace loving refugee Jew from the Middle East.)

I always thought the iceberg one was the scariest. There is something so chilling about the silence in that add, coupled with the cold, windy sound effects. So impersonal, and cold and chilling.

Can you do another episode of Video Scaries called Abuse? They include: 6. Stairs (Ad Council) 5. Physical Boy (SIRE) 4. Ventriloquist (NSPCC) 3. Violence (Abuse in Relationships) 2. Sadness (ISPCCl) 1. Hit (RSPCA)

Gay, straight, bi etc... I respect all. I had a Family friend die from AIDS when he contracted a chest infection it gave him complications. He was only 57. :(

I found the one called "Are You Staying" form the UK scary as a kid, that shrieking synth between the scenes of them having fun and listening to jazz music, still sends a shiver down my spine!

Nice touch on the London Lighthouse ad for hiring what sounds like John Hurt for the initial narration. A really strong way to get people's attention as a follow up to the earlier PIFs on AIDs and channel that attention to the discrimination faced at the time. Really cool advert, props.

the "Death" tarot card doesn't actually represent physical death, it typically represents major changes in a person's life. However, it's also associated with severe illness, so if that was the intention...well played.

Watch it's a sin before this video. Or after, I'm not your mother. Point is it shows the whole crisis from the UK's pov

Why hasn’t the Nostalgia Critic ever reviewed the “Bowling Grim Reaper” AIDS Awareness PSA in one of his commercial review specials. He’d be scared shitless, knowing that we now have PSA’s more petrifying than Canada and Britain’s. He’d call us *NEW* NEW CANADA!

Brilliant video

It would have been poetic as all hell to put out this episode on World AIDS Day. But that's just me. Might I suggest some AIDS PSA's? There's a series of Ad Council PSAs that came out in 1989 that were pretty iconic in their scope. Look for "Wilma" and "Macho" when you get the chance

Grim reaper is a good player

There was this one aired in Scotland: kzread.info/dash/bejne/amZ7s6qMocW1c5c.html As a 10 year old I didn't know what it **actually** meant so I just assumed it was advising people not to simply score out their writing if they made a mistake and use an "aid" like a rubber instead! Looking back now.......it's actually quite clever.

I was a child at this time so I didn't know about sex. Was abso-f#%&ing-lutely terrified of catching it

Imagine if this PSA played and then litterally the next commercial was about the chocolate called aids lol.

I learned all about AIDS/HIV in school.

So, as I was listening to this video, I was playing Super Monkey Ball. Right as Adam started talking about tombstones and death, I got a 1UP in the game. Coincidence?
