ALUS was left behind with restrictions to protect/safeguard Eldora from potential invaders...which the New People forced the situation leaving ALUS with no real choice there when combined with being left alone for who knows how long there. the epilogue and Build Divers Rize point to the El-Divers being Eldorans that got dragged into the G-Network. ALUS being reformed into an El-Diver shows that he's the same, meaning Cuadorn might be one as well with their connections broken when the planet was attacked and the theory that Eldora was abandoned due to being attacked and pretty much left in ruins with most forced to leave because, at the time, the planet was uninhabitable.

Here's my head canon for why learning computers didn't catch on: The Learning Computer was one of several competing systems (for example, the EXAM) the Earth Federation was putting their focus into as an equivalent to Zeon's research into Newtypes. The idea was that the computer could help gravity-bound pilots fight in space where they were disadvantaged against the spacenoids. But once Newtypes emerged, it became obvious that these systems were not as good as the raw intuitive abilities of a Newtype and so after the war when Zeon and the Federation's top scientists merged, research moved towards 1) development of technology to enhance or unleash Newtype potential like the psycommu and eventually psycho frame, and 2) cyber Newtypes. Some side research, of course, continued into it, but it never got the focus of Newtype-oriented stuff.

In Iron Blooded Orphan G game, there's a scene with another MA (Harael). At first, it focus its attack on Hajiroboshi, but then we have a glorious flashback from Harael's POV showing Hajiroboshi in its original form (Marchosias) beat a crap out of 2 Harael at once. The intersting part is that Harael seems to display fear upon recognized Marchosias (the sensor on its wire arm turns off after the flashback) which doesn't make sense (but incredibly cool). Since Vistario and co only fight Harael's wire arms (plus Pluma), I guess what's going on is that after recognized Marchosias and access the old memory, it just give up to preserve the main body (which is still trapped out of sight).

Imagine the 00 ending where all the kamakaze units are all just mobile dolls? The world would basically end so quickly with that power. Though that scene was already scary showing how disgusting the human lives would be with kamakaze tactics Best one is definitely ain. Like Mobile Dolls, it's a weird line between personalities like Hachi, Alus, Haros (they show empathy or assessment of feelings and temperature, if not being very bright or motivated) and mobile dolls, Devil Gundam, and so on. You can talk to a Haro, ALICE, or Hachi. Can't really talk to the DG or Mobile Doll army, except perhaps by them relaying AV feeds to humans who send a "cease-fire" signal or not.
There are some small things shown in the original MSG that were smoothed over after Sunrise returned to the Universal Century for Zeta and beyond. One of them was a Lost in Space-esque robot that could be seen working as a child caretaker in Jaburo's school/daycare. Which, if you think about it, when HARO is as sophisticated as it is - for a toy - then surely more complicated AI-driven robots existing for other societal functions would be pretty normal. However, when we get to Zeta, life in the UC is much more styled directly on 80's Japan and the technology got a more gritty aesthetic that precludes the existence of Asimov-ish robots.
Which is worse fighting an army of AI or being trapped in le computer/machine?
Military and Ai never seem to go well in fiction. Great video
I believe you missed the Automatons from the Second Season of 00, the small anti-personnel War Crime Drones used by the A-laws. Also, while I'm not sure about the specifics of the Crossbone series, would the Bio-Brins be considered AI? I know the ones inside the Divinidad were closer to straight up clones, but apparently the the one inside the Amakusa was created from the data stolen from Amuro's OYW Core Fighter which would suggest its an advancement of the RX-78's Learning Computer.
Ohhhh, okay, that really clears things up with the original RS-78-2! See, for years, I thought it was Amuro controlling the Gundam via a remote on his suit in the final battle with Char, and not the Learning Computer taking control. Pretty damn impressive too that it had learned enough to have Amuro’s skills to the point of shooting down Char’s mobile head.
@Supercohboy
11 ай бұрын
One confusing note about that last scene with the Gundam. I believe Amuro talks about that experience (fighting Char at the end of MSG) in Zeta or ZZ or something. He talks about that moment and there's a flashback iirc, but Amuro says that he programmed the Gundam to do what it did. However, I think that Kakarot's interpretation of that scene has roots in canon someplace as well, I'm just not as familiar with it. Either way, the Learning Computer was mentioned even in the flashback bit that I remember seeing, and it's understood that Amuro may have quickly activated some macros before exiting the Gundam, but the Learning Computer is what timed the final shot and accurately tracked the Zeong head.

It is most likely react to pilot via Alaya-Vijnana System. In Iron Blooded Orphan G, Asmoday doesn't remove its limiter during the fight against Harael because its cockpit is replaced with Enzo's. I'd argue the bit mobile suits from Gundam X using the flash system had AI in them, or at least the system did. Too much movement and other functions to not be offloaded like balancing out firing that many satellite cannons while muti-targeting for example. I thought the Forbidden Gundam was neat because in high speed mode it almost looked like a Mobile Armor giving the reason the GUNDAM is forbidden, because it allowed for some advanced AI stuff or something
It's funny you mention the Sid mobile armor inspired the IBO mobile armors because in a DLC for one of the SD games there is said to be a connection between the two...though that could just be a mistranslation...
It really would be the perfect time to get an AI centric Gundam spinoff series.

Technically build divers already delve into that, but maybe terminator esque gundam series might be great too

@@trollinoakenshield9822 AI does exist in Build Divers, but Id say the focus there is mostly just the online game they all play, with the AI being treated more or less like "local citizens". Was thinking more along the lines of having a show that delves into how much people depend on the AI, how their use and evolution affects our society, the growth of individuals' person, and the factions that would spawn in world where said AI are prominent everywhere, along with other stuff like that.

Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans, Calamity war. We need it, *NOW* !!!
Red Rider from Gundam Aggressor has the ARES system (and the Eris subsystem) and it was a surprisingly cordial and sometimes even sassy AI unit
Huh, I thought Kira was one of the few who got spacial awareness considering he also got that newtype lightning instinct like Mu and Rau.
So, I guess we're just going to ignore Superior Defender Gundam.

Haro: "O RAISER, DOCKING MODE! O RAISER, DOCKING MODE!"
The AI DOLL system was absolutely terrifying. They managed to get some information on Duo Maxwell’s combat tactics and the DOLL unit startled Heero. What is scarier is that they modified the AI DOLL system to work in tandem with an Operator who was hooked up to a alternate helmet display version of the ZERO System. It showed the Operator a series of options via a the helmet interface to remotely control the DOLLs and it didn’t drive the human operator insane.

That honestly was the single most frightening tech development in that timeline. The option to put entire armies worth of MS under the sole control of a single person? That's horrifying. That has the potential to prop up a Tyrant in the worst possible way. Plus, ultimately, borderline precognition on a single suit has much lower limits of impact on battles and wars than entire armies backed by such capability.

@@Sorain1the whole thing is nightmare fuel Heck the fact that in the Glory of Loser manga version of Dorothy’s helmet usage was made even MORE darker: Since she straight up put Relena into a Damned if you Do or Damned if you Don’t scenario “Shoot me with the gun I place on this table, or don’t and I continue to control and kill people with my Mobile Doll army.” And this is full on pacifist Relena and she STILL almost did it, if not for Hilda grabbing her arm and having her fire elsewhere That’s right total pacifist Relena nearly SHOT DOROTHY IN THE HEAD
Best Girls: ALICE & Gundam Meister 874/Hanayo Best Buds: 8/Hachi & Lockon's Haro
I hope we get a prequel miniseries for iron blooded orphans.
Don’t forget the build series, especially build divers Those Eldoran Windams made OMNI Windam jokes in comparison.
Those mobile dolls are absolutely nasty. True nightmares on the battlefield, imagine if they were in uc

Depending on when in the UC you introduce them, their effectiveness could vary WILDLY. But as soon as stuff like Incoms and Funnels get involved, they'd just get absolutely slaughtered.
I wish Bandai made a HG or RG Taurus and Virgo gunpla
AIs that know what Pot of Greed does?! Lies! Lies! Lies! Lies! Lies!
Watch in 2090 videos gon be popping up talking Abt Terminator tried to warn us... before it's quickly taken down by them 😭😭
Also, the Haro in Witch from Mercury were packing heat.
G Gundam on Blu-ray is a sight to behold. Beautiful.
Out of all the ai mobile suits the gundam wing OZ - 02md Virgo is a monster The OZ - 12 SMS TARURUS is my pick it just the best all rounder flight capable and multi use
If you had to ability to make AI, what AI would you take from a Gundam series and what would you put it in? If you couldn't do mobile specifically or would there be a mobile suit or mobile armor you want to have AI work free? I thought you were going to see this, but if anyone else is a Gundam fan and want to throw some ideas
Wasn't there an Ai in Gundam Build Drivers from another planet attempting to destroy the world?
Do you have a video of a comparison between the gun system alaya-vijnana system or have you thought about doing one between the two?
What!? AI know's what Pot Of Greed does!? Impossible! No one has evere been able to use that card!
Just remember this. Gundam Exa manga has a big twist that... . . . . . . There is exactly one human in the whole series, everyone else are AI in the General Answer. They're so sophisticated that they aren't aware that they're AI and few of them even act beyond their original purpose (Fon Spaak and Hanayo). There is slso an irony that the onlt human, Sthesia, thought she is AI at the start of the story.
You missed the Scorpio from Gundam Wing. It's MD system was nothing special compared to the Virgo and Taurus but it existed.
Idk if you remember, but a while ago I brought up outer Gundam to you & you even managed to grab a copy of the manga. Kinda surprised you didn't bring it up, but I wouldn't blame you it's not exactly well remembered.
I wonder if the M1 Astrays also had a basic AI to assist piloting similar to the Rouge, alongside its OS that assisted the natural pilots, or if maybe the line was a mistake when they were sending out the Rouge and they just meant to make sure the OS was operating at it's highest level. It kind of seems like one could argue that the OS does function similar to an AI in the sense that it seems to handle balance and movement adjustments needed to keep the mobile suits upright, given how much faster one of the pilots was moving once they OS was installed on the Astray shortly after her lackluster performance days prior
